Believe it or not, there are a few compelling reasons.&nbsp;And if you need to do that, the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Kali Key (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/kalikey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"the-kali-key-breaking-it-to-fix-it\" title=\"The Kali Key: Breaking it to Fix it\" target=\"_blank\">Kali Key<\/a> will help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let us start with what the Kali Key is. It is basically a drop-in replacement bolt carrier group for your rifle with a removable oversized ambidextrous charging handle. I\u2019ll be honest, when I first saw this, I thought it was ridiculous.&nbsp;Why would someone ever want to do this to their rifle?&nbsp;Well, as it turns out, there are some compelling reasons which make this a pretty genius piece of gear depending on where you live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s start with the birthplace of the Kali Key, California.&nbsp;They have some ridiculous gun laws in that state, to include all kinds of \u201cAssault Weapon\u201d laws.&nbsp;Well, the Kali Key eloquently side steps these because it turns your rifle into a \u201cBolt Action\u201d rifle in a matter of seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"561\" title=\"The Kali Key: Breaking it to Fix it\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6-1024x561.jpg\" alt=\"The Kali Key: Breaking it to Fix it\" class=\"wp-image-119522\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6-1024x561.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6-400x219.jpg 400w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6-150x82.jpg 150w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6-768x421.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/kali20key6.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>A simple BCG swap turns your semi-automatic rifle into a bolt action rifle.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Or let&#8217;s look at another use case.&nbsp;In certain states, due to hunting regulations, you can\u2019t hunt with a semi-automatic rifle. So now, rather than having to purchase a separate rifle for hunting, you can take your already zeroed, ergonomic and familiar rifle, drop in the Kali Key and be legal to hunt in the aforementioned states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the magic to all of it though, it is a drop-in part.&nbsp;There is no requirement for fitting, milling or anything else.
