Underneath the letters and rifles are the words \u201cgun control.\u201d The shape and position of the rifles appear to spell the F-word, which is what the deputy noted in his citation, according to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/abc3340.com\/news\/nation-world\/man-with-obscene-anti-gun-control-car-sticker-says-police-restricting-his-free-speech\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\" target=\"_blank\">local media<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man who received the citation, Nicholas Ennis,\ndisagrees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think my First Amendment rights have been violated\nbecause it\u2019s not spelled out like he said on the ticket,\u201d Ennis told ABC 3340.\n\u201cThat we should have the right to express our opinions, and the freedom of\nspeech, and they\u2019re trying to take it away, the constitutional right, they\u2019re\ntrying to take all that away from us, like American ain\u2019t free no more.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ennis said he\u2019s had the sticker on his truck for about a year,\nand this is the first time he\u2019s had trouble with it. He told ABC 3340 that he doesn\u2019t believe\nthe sticker causes any harm to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEverybody has their right to express their opinion on\nwhatever they want to,\u201d Monaghan said. \u201cPeople express their opinion about not\nhaving guns, well, I want guns, and I want more of them, and I will get more of\nthem, and I\u2019ll get them legally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alabama\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/codes.findlaw.com\/al\/title-13a-criminal-code\/al-code-sect-13a-12-131.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\">criminal<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/codes.findlaw.com\/al\/title-13a-criminal-code\/al-code-sect-13a-12-131.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"  (opens in a new tab)\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/codes.findlaw.com\/al\/title-13a-criminal-code\/al-code-sect-13a-12-131.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\">code<\/a> does prohibit anyone from publicly displaying \u201cany bumper sticker, sign or writing which depicts obscene language descriptive of sexual or excretory activities.\u201d Other states, such as Tennessee and South Carolina, have similar laws on the books, according to Middle Tennessee State University\u2019s <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mtsu.edu\/first-amendment\/article\/988\/bumper-stickers\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\" target=\"_blank\">First Amendment Encyclopedia<\/a>. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/new-york-teachers-starts-hunger-strike-for-black-rifle-ban-gun-control\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"alabama-ticketed-pro-gun-bumper-sticker\" title=\"Alabama Man Ticketed for Pro-Gun Bumper Sticker\">New York Teachers Starts Hunger Strike for Black Rifle Ban, Gun Control<\/a> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Such laws, however, often fail at the federal level. Several courts have invalidated, on First Amendment grounds, bumper sticker convictions, including a 1991 case involving a trucker who displayed a sticker that read, \u201cHow\u2019s My Driving?
