It also free floats the 20&#8243; cold hammer forged, chrome-lined, heavy contour barrel that&#8217;s chambered in 7.62X51. Some people might think that a chrome-lined bore will be detrimental to accuracy but remember this rifle is based on one that was designed for the harshest conditions imaginable.\u00a0 Plus, each SCAR 20S has to shoot five 5-shot groups to meet the same 1 MOA accuracy requirements as the Mk 20 SSR.\u00a0 Now FN didn&#8217;t just lengthen the receiver and put a heavier barrel on it to call it good, they also revised the barrel nut to be 50% longer and heavier to create a more rigid interface for better accuracy.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_105398\" style=\"width: 1034px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"fn-scar-20s-precision-semi-auto-shot-show-2019\" title=\"FN SCAR 20S Precision Semi-Auto - SHOT Show 2019\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-105398\" title=\"FN SCAR 20S Precision Semi-Auto - SHOT Show 2019\" class=\"wp-image-105398 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074-1024x857.jpg\" alt=\"FN SCAR 20S Precision Semi-Auto - SHOT Show 2019\" width=\"1024\" height=\"857\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074-1024x857.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074-150x126.jpg 150w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074-359x300.jpg 359w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074-768x643.jpg 768w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/IMG_0074.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-105398\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The major controls on the 20S are either ambidextrous or able to be configured for right or left-handed shooters.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Inside the lower receiver lurks Geissele&#8217;s Super SCAR Trigger to provide a consistent trigger pull for better accuracy compared to the stock SCAR trigger.
