My P365 has quickly become one of my favorite concealed carry options because of it’s size and ammunition capacity.\u00a0 12+1 rounds of ammunition is hard to argue with in a gun that is similar in size to the Glock 43.<\/p>\n

If you ever wondered about accessories for the rails on the dust cover of the Sig P365, wonder no more. The Sig Foxtrot365 weapon light is designed specifically for the Sig P365 pistol and utilizes the rails.\"SIG<\/a><\/p>\n

The light itself is tiny and only weighs .07 ounces without the batteries and 1.3 ounces with the batteries. It weighs almost nothing.<\/p>\n

.044 lbs or .7 ounces is all the SIG FOXTROT365 weighs<\/p><\/div>\n

The Foxtrot365 uses a CREE XP-G3 Led. The bulb is efficient and bright putting out 100 lumens. The batteries should last about 30 minutes.\"SIG<\/a>\"SIG<\/a><\/p>\n

The illumination is a flood pattern and isn’t going to be illuminating things at 50 yards the way a spot pattern 300 lumen tac light will, mostly because of the light pattern. However, in a house or building, it’s more than sufficient and is going to give you a wide field of light. Honestly, for concealed carry situations, it’s probably near perfect.<\/p>\n

Even though the SIG FOXTROT365 is a flood light pattern, it seems completely sufficient in a dark room.<\/p><\/div>\n

Getting the light out of the packaging is the hardest part of the install.\u00a0 The light clamps on the rails of the dust cover and is held in place by two tiny\u00a0Allen head screws. An Allen\u00a0wrench is included in the package.<\/p>\n

SIG P365, SIG FOXTROT365 Weapon light, P365 12 rounds magazine, and SIG\/Blackpoint holster.<\/p><\/div>\n

The light uses two CR-1\/3N batteries which are common and can be bought at Wal Mart, Amazon, Walgreens or just about any place that sells batteries.<\/p>\n

SIG FOXTROT365 install only requires one Allen wrench.<\/p><\/div>\n

Two Q tips are also provided to clean the lens should it get dirty from muzzle fouling and powder burns. It’s recommended to use alcohol.<\/p>\n

The “KISS” principle is in full force here and the light turns on only when you grip the gun. There is no on\/off switch, just the momentary on when you grip the gun and activate the pressure switch. Unfortunately,\u00a0this means that if you are out practicing during daylight that you’ll be running down the batteries. There is also only one brightness setting.<\/p>\n

The light fits the gun perfectly (it was made to fit).<\/p>\n

The light is water resistant but the owners manual warns about keeping cleaning solvents off the light. Cleaning solvents and electronics don’t go well together.<\/p>\n

Finally, the Foxtrot365 carries Sig’s 5 year warranty, which is well above industry standards for electronics.<\/p>\n

My final thoughts are that 1) bad stuff happens in the dark and this is a great option for illumination. 2) The light weighs nothing and adds very little bulk to the gun. 3) It doesn’t change the way I grip the gun or the way the gun feels to shoot, which is important. 4) It seems robust, looks nice, and is easy to change the batteries.\u00a0 5) I feel like it puts out a sufficient\u00a0amount of light for most concealed carry applications and distances.<\/p>\n
