Full Conceal, the makers of the modified folding Glock-based series of pistols is teaming up with Command Arms Accessories, CAA, to produce a new type of folding personal defense weapon. They’re calling it the Viper.<\/p>\n

The setup combines CAA’s Micro Roni<\/a> with a converted grip adapter to accept a folded 9mm Luger M3D pistol. The adapter holds the pistol grip up against the forend when the unit is fully collapsed.<\/p>\n

Unfolded, what looks like a short-barreled pistol-caliber carbine is still a pistol. The Viper is set up with a pistol brace, not a stock, that folds to the side for an even more compact package.<\/p>\n

All packed up the Viper can fit in a small messenger bag, sling, purse or even a glovebox. The Viper is an interesting gun whether it’s for a good time at the range or more serious work.<\/p>\n

While handguns are by far the most commonly used guns for self-defense, short-barreled carbines and braced pistols like this offer some real advantages for personal protection.<\/p>\n

Even without an extended barrel the Roni adds additional flash suppression and sends muzzle blast forward from the shooter. The brace provides more support for accurate shooting under stress and extra control when shooting the hottest over-pressure ammo.<\/p>\n

And the Roni has three rails, two on the sides and a full-length flattop rail. These can be used to add rifle sights with a longer sight radius as well as red dot sights and other optics along with other aiming devices like pointers. The Roni itself has an integral Olight<\/a> adapter which is also good to have on a gun for self-defense.<\/p>\n

While the Full Conceal M3D Micro Roni Viper looks like it should be in an action movie, there are some real benefits to the design worth considering. The design has ambidextrous controls and a large and easy-to-use charging handle. It also has a solid capacity with Magpul 21-round magazines, which come standard.<\/p>\n

Buyers have a lot of options when it comes to selecting their Viper package. For anyone who already owns a Micro Roni and a Glock 19, CAA and Full Conceal will convert both into the Viper for $748.<\/p>\n

Existing M3D owners can purchase converted Viper chassis for just $449. Or you can buy the whole thing outright, ready to shoot for $1,449. For reference, the base price for just the M3D pistol is $999. All Viper package details are available on the company website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
