Fresh on the heels of the midterms where Everytown for Gun Safety succeeded in populating the House with more than a handful of \u201cgun sense\u201d (aka anti-gun) candidates, the Michael Bloomberg-funded organization is now preparing to launch its 2019 blueprint for enacting gun control at the state and federal level.<\/p>\n

Known as the #BreakThePattern Campaign, the agenda contains five major points which are centered around criminalizing private transfers, making it easier for the government to confiscate firearms, and opening up the gun manufacturers to frivolous lawsuits that would inevitably bankrupt the industry.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn electing a gun sense majorities in the House of Representatives and key states, the American people sent a clear message to their elected leaders: Now is the time to break the pattern of gun violence by passing common-sense gun laws,\u201d said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety in a press release.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverytown’s five-point action plan provides a clear roadmap for lawmakers, and the first milestone is building a better background check system to ensure that guns don’t fall into the wrong hands,\u201d Feinblatt continued.<\/p>\n
