A brutal robbery took place this week in Chicago. The entire episode was caught on camera.

The 33-year-old unarmed victim was walking down an alley in Bucktown in the middle of the day. That’s when the two perps jumped him from behind at around 2:55 p.m. on Monday.

The first attacker started punching the victim in the head, while the second snuck in some body blows with his feet and hands.

The duo was trying to steal the man’s backpack.

Though the victim fought back, ultimately he was overrun.

“Just let it go!” — the attackers said, referencing his backpack.

Exhausted and on his back, the victim relented. The attackers walked away with the backpack and possibly a cell phone, according to CBS 2.

A witness, who was in her car during the attack, told the local news affiliate she honked her horn to deter the robbers. But it didn’t work.

She called 911 to report the robbery.

As for the victim, he survived the encounter. He was bruised up but doing “OK” Monday night, according to CBS 2.

Investigators have not made any arrests yet. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
