Footage of an officer-involved shooting was released this week by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD).
The incident occurred on Sept. 16th after a woman, identified as Krystal Walton, was fatally shot at a daycare center, according to WTWO News.
Watson was dropping off her children at the Charity Church Childhood Center when 33-year-old Orlando Mitchell allegedly shot her with an AR-pattern rifle.
Mitchell left the scene and began to brag about the encounter at a bus stop some three hours later. A witness contacted the police to report Mitchell’s behavior.

Officers then tracked down Mitchell, who was exiting a vehicle. The officers instructed Mitchell to drop the rifle he had on his person.
Mitchell failed to comply with the officers’ request and pointed the rifle in their direction. At this point, the officers opened fire, striking Mitchell in the leg.
Along with the rifle, officers recovered a handgun from the suspect.
While first responders were addressing Mitchell’s wound, he was yelling, “I shot that b***h in her face.”
Mitchell survived the encounter and is now being charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Nothing else seems to be working. Maybe it is time that we return to the 1950’s justice of “a rope and a tree.” The “entitled” folks are pushing things much too far.
I want to know where he got his firearms from (gun laws sure working effectively there arent they?!)?
What was his relationship with the victim?
Possibly the Girlfriend connection. I sold guns for many years, there were several instances where I just knew the woman was buying for the B.F.
But, there is no way to really tell, so I made sure that they read and understood question 21 (a) on the 4473.
Its easy to see this person is a deranged, sick man and is only curable by Jesus. We should make this man repent and immediately, at the lowest possible cost to the state send him to the Lord. All hangings should be public and required viewing in school for all 16 and older.
I agree totally!
The next winner of the ghetto lotto!
Time & time again you hear these kind of stories. At the root of the problem is the incredibly poor choices women make with their boyfriend/husband selections. Now, that’s not an excuse for the guys’ bad actions, but c’mon, there are usually blatant signs.
Multiple cops on the scene and open fire; how many rounds? Yet, they only manage to put one round in his LEG!? Again, you keep hearing accounts of bad marksmanship on the part of officers. I’ve watched police range sessions, where the order of the day was “spray & pray.” Not what should be happening.
This admitted murderer will likely be released with no bail, and later get charges reduced in a plea deal to “aggravated assault” with a $50 fine and 100 hours of “community service.” Ain’t “woke” judges just peachy?
Expedite his 6th Amendment rights, take him out back behind the court house an swing him on a good strong rope
Too bad the cop didn’t end this yute’s life.
Hey, I recognize this guy. He was leading the blue ribbon team for cancer research. Hopefully Kamaltoe Harris gets him cashless bail so he can complete his breakthrough cure.
They should have shot him in his face. Society needs to accept the fact that some people( Mitchell )give up their right to live. This guy needs to be “put down” and the sooner the better for all.
“ unlawful possession of a firearm “ ?
Really ?
Dontcha know that criminals have more rights than law-abiding citizens? They don’t ever have to adhere to any of those gun-control laws that they say make us all safer.
Yes , I am aware of that “ Stan “ . I was making a rhetorical point .
‘ Sorry you took such offense to my brand of humor .
He’ll probably get a hand slap and be back on the street in no time.
Nice to see he wanted everyone to hear of his brave action.
System only fails when it is against their own.
The officers obviously need more range time.
Obviously you have never been involved in a firefight. Stick to commenting on topics you are familiar with………..
This is your opening to wax poetic about all your gunslinger exploits. What’s your body count up to?
I have been involved in a number of firefights i.e. 196th LIB Vietnam Que Son Valley 1968-1969:
And I agree: “The officers obviously need more range time.”
