Taurus USA announced last week that it is opening up a new facility in Bainbridge, Georgia, bringing along with it 300 new jobs!

Republican Gov. Nathan Deal celebrated the move.

“Georgia’s strong manufacturing sector and business-friendly climate continue to attract industry-leading manufacturers like Taurus USA to our state,” said Deal in a press release.

“With this investment, Taurus USA is highlighting some of the economic development assets available in the Bainbridge area, while also creating meaningful employment opportunities for the community,” added the governor. “We welcome Taurus USA to Georgia, and we look forward to seeing how our highly skilled workforce will help the company grow and maintain its competitive edge.”

The cost of the new 200,000-square-foot plant is estimated to be $22.5 million.  Approximately 180,000 square feet will be dedicated to manufacturing and around 20,000 square feet will be allocated for administrative purposes.

Taurus will look to hire skilled laborers, admin support personnel, customer service reps and management teams in the coming weeks and months.  Construction is scheduled to start this fall.

“The decision to move to Bainbridge, Georgia, is part of a long-term growth strategy,” said David Blenker, president and CEO of Taurus USA.

“The ability to expand operations is critical for our U.S. business,” he continued.  “This new facility will meet our demanding needs to increase production with the skilled workforce Georgia has to offer. We look forward to breaking ground in September 2018 to start the project.”

Good to see Taurus moving operations to one of the free states. Magpul did the same thing.

If only Taurus would more people for customer support we wouldnt have to wait for months to get repairs. They could answer their phone too.

Taurus USA is based in Miami Florida. Clearly Floridas RINO Governor was not interested in adding Gun manufacturing jobs to the Sunshine State.

Florida is now on a trajectory to becoming a the next state to ban and confiscate black rifles and pistols. If democrats take the governors office then Florida will follow the other Marxist states who have taken away our inalienable right to bear arms.

Democrats are the enemies of freedom.
