Tapco makes low-priced aftermarket parts for a lot of different guns. They define the value-oriented end of the customization market. And the R&D teams can turn around products fast. The latest offering, and one that will fly off the shelves, is a tactical stock set for Ruger’s 10/22 Takedown, one of the most versatile configurations of the venerable rimfire ever made.

tapco02The 10/22 is a storied gun. With 50 years of production, the 10/22 exists in almost every imaginable form. The Takedown is simply a model that comes apart. Ruger ramped up the model with a threaded barrel, making it perfect for those of us fortunate enough to own suppressors.

But the stock was rather plain. The functional polymer set is solid enough, but doesn’t adjust for varied lengths of pull. And there’s no convenient way to mount any extras on the rifle (other than a simple sling). Tapco’s stock set has an adjustable AR style stock, a pistol grip, and picatinny rail, all you really need to take Ruger’s fun gun to the next level. We’re going to get one in for review here soon, so stay tuned.

I live in oklahoma & its hard to find 22 ammo, but its not hard for my dad to find it in ohio, so he ships me tons of it. Anyway when the hell is this tapco kit gonna be for sale? I want that adjustable stock.

It is also because more people have entered the gun world and this the first caliber most buy!!!! And you do have to shoot to become a good shot!!!!

thats why the 22s are so high. poeple going to the range and wasting that much ammo and more.

This is great in all but where is the darn ammo to shoot these fine guns….I refuse to buy .22 lr ammo for the outrageous price gouging going on…. Right now 2500 rounds cost the same if not more for that gun your looking at!!!! That’s crazy considering I shoot anywhere from 500-800 rounds when I’m having fun at the range or someone’s back yard…. Everyone needs to do everyone a favor and just stop buying .22 ammo for awhile so these outrageous prices will fall to a more manageable price…. I haven’t bought .22 lr for about 1 full year now…. Just my 2 cents take it or leave it!!!
