It has been nearly 10 years since the nation’s highest court has heard a Second Amendment case, and this marks the first gun rights case to be heard since Justice Brett Kavanaugh was sworn in to serve on the court last fall.

“That’s the purpose of this federal law,” stated Blumenthal, “to hold accountable any firearms owner who fails to safely store or secure their firearms, to prevent access from minors or from others who are dangerous, convicted of crimes, and make our communities safer.”

Governor Northam (D) has a plan to reduce the number and types of firearms Virginia residents can purchase and possess.

The Democrat-controlled Oregon legislature would become the most restrictive state in the Union with a new raft of gun-control measures set to be considered in this year’s legislative session. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, California Rep. Mike Thompson, and former Arizona Rep. Gabby Giffords unveiled a bill on Tuesday that would prohibit the private sale of firearms. With the exception of law enforcement and the transfer of guns between friends and family, all gun sales would require a background check to be conducted on the prospective buyer.
