The National Rifle Association is suing its primary ad agency and the contractor that operates NRATV. The suit alleges that the agency, Ackerman McQueen, failed to provide adequate information for how it spent $40 million, failed to reveal information about a separate contract with NRA President Oliver North, and refused to provide data about various NRATV’s performance measures.

In short, D.J. Parten heads up a sockpuppet operation – a fundraising organization that has no real presence in a state except for a shell game of addresses to rake in contributions.

“Are these investigations legitimate,” Gottlieb wondered, “or are they a deliberately choreographed attempt to distract the NRA’s focus when it needs to be concentrating on the battle now developing on Capitol Hill?”

“This can help prevent violent behavior before it turns into a tragedy,” said Chris Cox, the executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action.

“I can say unequivocally that I oppose and will always oppose any sort of ban on firearms or gun accessory. Bans don’t work.”

Our work isn’t just in races for U.S. Congress. As critically important as maintaining pro-gun majorities in the U.S. Senate and House is, every level of government is being targeted by our opponents.
