In the running for one of the coolest products I’ve seen at SHOT Show 2018 is the Stinger.  A retractable bayonet spike for AR-pattern rifles from American Defense Innovations.  

The look of this knife is that of a no-nonsense industrial tool.  That appearance is created by the anodized-aluminum, matte gray handles and the stonewashed-finished, 14C28N-steel blade.

We’re gun people, but if we gun people are anything, we’re also knife people. And if there’s any tool that virtually every one of us is carrying, it’s a folding knife.

I tell my students, “There are no professionals left when it comes to knives, myself included. But plenty of amateurs get it right every day. Put the stabby part in the other guy. Don’t let him put the stabby part in you.”

There is a perception amongst some in our society that if there is no threat directly in front of them then there is no danger and therefore no reason to be prepared for what might happen. Everyday carry can mean different things to different people.
