On the outside, the Blackhawk TECGRIP FORMLOK appears to be a very plain Inside the Waistband (IWB) holster, but it is so much more.

The reason you are here is because you want to make your own pistol holster. By literally taking things into your own hands you can save money, add features, or further simplify to your liking. For my purpose I chose to use Kydex, a thermoform plastic, due to it’s great retention and ease of forming.

I love the Ultra Custom (spoiler) because of its use of leather as the main component. Personally, I like carrying a gun in a leather holster (especially IWB) because the material is much softer to the touch than other options. However, there are negatives to an all-leather design. The Ultra Custom is everything that a leather holster is, without these negatives. Gun retention is on par with a Kydex holster if it is fit right!

The Fastrax PAC is a fanny pack that was specifically designed for carrying a concealed handgun. With the typical fanny pack, you would need to dig around in search of your handgun. But this new one from Galco features an internal pivoting holster that is activated with an external ripcord.

These are the tips and tricks you, as a woman, can use to make your way through the world of concealed carry gun ownership. The great thing about them is they really do work across the board.

The Fastrax PAC holds a variety of pistols in an internal holster. To access the pistol, you simply rip the zippered pouch open and pull the activation cord with your non-dominant hand. This action stands the pistol up in the Fastrax PAC, allowing you to draw vertically, free of obstruction, to address the threat.

Pictured below are a Diamond D Custom Leather shoulder holster and a Glock 26. They make a great combination for concealed carry. When it comes to this rig, I love the comfort, balance and retention, but I do not love where the muzzle of the gun ends up.
