Years ago, one of my teammates lost a child to an improperly stored gun. I have never forgotten that, and cannot imagine a worse scenario as a parent. So especially as my kids have gotten older, I have been looking for a solution.

The NBA has a very clear stance on firearms and other weapons, with strict rules outlined in their collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

On April 23, 2018, Deputy Adam Brown went to jail. Through a series of events that were most unfortunate, he accidentally shot a teacher named Brenda Amthor in the neck with a .380ACP handgun.
