Christensen Arms has entered a newer, rapidly expanding section of the firearms market with their new bolt action chassis pistol, the Modern Precision Pistol. This new offering is basically their MPR chassis rifle shrunken down to a barrel length of 7.5-12.5″ depending on caliber. Don’t be fooled though, these short barrels still pack a punch while providing impressive accuracy.

BY Aram Von Benedikt Published: October 24, 2021 Updated: August 31, 2024Who needs another new home-protection and defense shotgun? I’m glad you asked! How can this one be any better than what’s already out there? That too, is a great question.
MAG-NA-PORT’S Custom S&W 640 Magnum
BY Rob Garrett Published: October 17, 2021 Updated: October 17, 2021First, as many GunsAmerica readers may know, I am a self-avowed, unapologetic, fan of the Smith J frame series of revolvers. I have carried a J frame, of one model or another, on a daily basis for more than forty years.

Heritage Arms Ranch Carbine – Plink Away
BY Travis Pike Published: October 17, 2021 Updated: October 17, 2021I love the little Rancher Carbine. I have a ton of fun with it, but it’s a weird gun. It doesn’t do anything exceptionally well outside of being a fun novelty. It’s plenty reliable, has low recoil, has a great trigger, and is affordable. If you want a fun, albeit somewhat useless rifle, then the Rancher Carbine has you covered.
Micro Miracle 9mm Roundup
BY Justin Opinion Published: October 10, 2021 Updated: October 10, 2021Just a few short years ago, we had a choice between carrying a 9mm handgun that was micro-sized and easily (and comfortably) concealed, but held only 6 or 7 rounds – or one that held 10-12 rounds but was bulky and a bit cumbersome. That has all changed now, after SIG Sauer introduced the P365 the industry has been scrambling to catch up.
Old School Cool; Mossberg 500 Retrograde
BY Travis Pike Published: October 10, 2021 Updated: October 10, 2021Birdshot for snakes, pests, and small game. Buckshot for two-legged predators, medium game, and threatening critters like hogs and coyotes. Slugs extend your range and could be a very capable bear defense. All that in a light and handy weapon makes the Mossberg 500 Retrograde an appealing choice for a discerning customer.
Field-Testing Springfield’s Model 2020: At Home, at the Range, and in the Stand
BY Jordan Michaels Published: October 4, 2021 Updated: August 3, 2024I carried the Waypoint with me last whitetail season, and I stretched its legs at the range. The Waypoint lived up to expectations, and it may be the perfect crossover rifle for both competition and hunting.
DD5 V5 260 Rem: A Firing Solution for the COVID Crunch
BY Clay Martin Published: October 3, 2021 Updated: October 3, 2021I am finally getting a review in on something I have wanted to try for a very long time, the Daniel Defense V5 in 260 Remington. Why have I been so anxious to lay hands on this rifle? Know that if it says DD on the side, it is going to be a winner.
AllTerra Arms’ Mountain Shadow Steel: The Lamborghini of Rifles?
BY Riley Baxter Published: September 6, 2021 Updated: August 3, 2024AllTerra Arms is a semi-custom rifle manufacturer in my home state of Idaho that used to be known as “Axial Precision.” These guys produce some top-tier hunting rifles with 1/2 and even 1/4 MOA guarantees, and I finally got my hands on one. The Mountain Shadow Steel is one of their steel barreled options, and it happens to be the model that I’m testing.
