The Connecticut state legislature is considering expanding the state’s “red flag” law to allow family members and “medical professionals” to the list of people who can request that a judge confiscate a person’s firearms.

Elected officials who wouldn’t know a gas tube from a sling swivel weaponize the latest headlines and pontificate accordingly, the Constitution be damned.

“The Second Amendment is a right and freedom on which our nation was founded. The President’s proposed restrictions violate our U.S. Constitution,” said Rep. Shoaf.

The court found that the law, which restricts magazine capacity to 15 rounds for handguns and 10 rounds for long guns, is a “reasonable regulation of the right of the people to bear arms for self-defense.”

“This is completely voluntary and there is a mechanism where they can have a name removed,” Eliason said, referencing the 30-day window.

“Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets,” said Biden.
