A San Antonio homeowner fatally shot a man earlier this week when he found the stranger sitting in his car.

“When he brought his hands up that was my first fear that he had my firearm, so I began to fire,” Armand said. He was right, the thief had found the gun and the bulletproof vest hidden in the vehicle.

Later, in a statement given to authorities, the homeowner claimed that the suspects had a deadly weapon.
