BY Clay Martin Published: March 24, 2017 { 43 comments }The CZ P-10 C, which is quite a lot to spit out, is the latest foray of CZ into the polymer frame market. We haven’t seen a striker-fired CZ in quite sometime, and it looks like the Czech engineers spent that time in the lab though, turning out a very good pistol for the US market.
Ammo Test: Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense 9mm and .45 ACP
BY Tom McHale Published: March 21, 2017 { 23 comments }Taking the idea of “light and fast” model to new levels, the Civil Defense projectiles weigh in at well under half that same caliber traditional bullets. For example, the 9mm projectile weighs just 50 grains. Compare that to 115 or 124 grains for common 9mm defense rounds. The .45 ACP bullets weigh in at 78 grains as compared to a more traditional weight range of 185 to 230 grains. The result is blistering speed.

Rebirth of the Rampant Colt? The Combat Unit 9mm – Full Review.
BY Justin Opinion Published: March 9, 2017 { 34 comments }The evaluation copy of the Combat Unit came to me chambered in 9mm. It is also offered in the traditional .45 ACP. What you get from 9mm is an extra round of capacity from a standard sized magazine, and less recoil. Much less recoil in fact, because shooting 9mm in a 40-ounce handgun almost feels like it should have an orange muzzle. Add in the inherent ergonomics of the 1911 and the brilliant extras added by Colt and it’s downright fun.

Precision CCW Night Sights? The New HD XR from Trijicon – Hands On Review.
BY Michael O. Humphries Published: March 8, 2017 { 3 comments }Gun people are gear people, period. We love mechanical solutions to problems. So, while you may be able to make a good argument that one might not even use the sights on your pistol in a situation like this, why shortchange yourself? If you have the best gear possible (and train with it accordingly), you will only be better prepared. And, it gives you an excuse to buy more stuff, right? So let’s take a look at the new Trijicon HD XR sights.
