Mossberg is primarily known as a long gun manufacturer, but the first firearm they produced 100 years ago was a handgun. The family-owned business is still at it, and they have a brand new pistol hitting the market.

The proposal – HB 569, introduced by Democrat Delegate Dan Helmer, would give the Commonwealth’s Attorney General Mark Herring unilateral say over which states to allow reciprocity in Virginia and which states he could now disallow.

So why do we continue to hear these claims of murderous attackers dropped like 2-foot putts by cops and private citizens who appear to possess sidearms from Thor’s hammer factory?

SCCY brags about the pistols’ flat triggers, suggesting that beyond its “aggressive appearance,” it can provide “shooters additional leverage making the already-light 5.5lb trigger pull even smoother.”

I know, I know … shooting, as the cat pictures on the Internet would put it, IZ SRS BZNS. But suppose you could do some fun shooting and have it reinforce the serious stuff?

The optics-ready subcompact is a polymer double-stack striker-fired pistol in line with the rest of the 509 series with a 12+1- or 15+1-round capacity.

Some believe that any shooter who doesn’t reload is a fool; others believe that their time is worth more than the money they might save reloading.
