If you hate guns and want them “taken away” – why support police with multiple guns. More people are killed by government agents than by all criminals, right?

Home invaders, on the other hand, are truly the stuff of nightmares. Unlike burglars, these are individuals who break into a dwelling expecting, even hoping, to find you home.

Fundamentally, don’t be scared of buying used in the first place. The average handgun sold in the U.S. sees shockingly few rounds fired before it gets slid to the back of a safe or traded in for something newer and sexier that the shooter spotted on the cover of a magazine or in a YouTube video.

The real problem with so-called red-flag laws is that many folks pressing to pass them are convinced — anyone with a gun is dangerous and should be disarmed.

It makes you nostalgic for the days of old when at least gun control politicians tried to be sly. No longer.

True though that might be, we carry tiny guns specifically because they’re not Glock 19s, CZ 75s, Walther PPQs or Smith & Wesson M&Ps.

Concealed carry permit classes are also very likely to be instructed by retired law enforcement officers, and this is where the issues begin to compound.

By providing “the oxygen of publicity,” as Margaret Thatcher called it, media encourages copycats, which the murderers themselves tell us they seek. Doesn’t that imply at least some measure of complicity or guilt?

Recently, Sen. Booker tweeted “If you need a license to drive a car, you should need a license to buy and possess a gun. Some states are doing this already — and it saves lives.”
