Burris has officially rolled out its all-new XTR PS riflescope—first previewed at the start of 2025—and it’s now hitting dealers across North America.

At SHOT Show 2025, I had the chance to check out a mind-blowing new product that’s going to make any precision shooter’s life a whole lot easier. Right in front of me at the Beretta Range Day was the brand-new XTR PS scope from Burris. And trust me, you’re going to want to see this one to believe it.

At SHOT Show 2024, GunsAmerica visited the Burris booth for a peek at their updated lineup of Veracity PH scopes.

I approached the Fastfire 4 with a good degree of excitement. I loved the Fastfire 3 and would hope the Fastfire 4 lives up to its reputation.

I don’t get why Remington doesn’t just tap their shotguns for an optic’s mount. Like all of their shotguns. Mossberg does it, so why can’t Remington? Luckily, solutions exist, and one that has always interested me was the Burris SpeadBead. It seems like a great solution for a complicated problem. Burris designed the Spea Bead to be an optic mounting solution that doesn’t require a tapped receiver.

I dropped down onto the other side of the ranch gate and onto the saturated soil. I was hunting private property south of Longview, Texas, in early April 2021, and it had been raining much of the last 24 hours. It had been raining pretty steady for the last three days of my time here in East Texas, which made the fields and pastures even more inviting to the feral hogs that so love to root up the ground.
