“Vagaries in today’s legal code pose a real threat to the right to keep and bear arms. The Obama Administration exploited this ambiguity to forward its agenda of restriction,” Bishop said.

Taken as a whole, the list focuses on reducing paperwork, streamlining regulations, saving taxpayer dollars, and clarifying policies.

The ATF put a stop to SD Tactical’s “solvent trap” business. A solvent trap is a catch-all term for a parts kit for building a suppressor.

The ATF has been running undercover storefront operations for the last several years with dubious results and serious flaws.

The ATF has issued two notices on explosives — and has quickly retracted one of them.

A federal judge is upholding the ATF’s ban on 7n6 ammunition. The judge agreed with the ATF’s decision to classify 7n6 as an armor-piercing handgun round.

The GAO found that the ATF failed to comply with its policies on storing FFL records and keeping records that should have been destroyed.

Ultimately the U.S Court of Appeals ruled that the device was designed as a suppressor component first, then re-classified as a brake.
