.357 Magnum

The Model 66-8 Combat Magnum lives up to the K-frame’s reputation. In my opinion, a .357 magnum is a good choice for self-defense, and I’d prefer to carry the .357 Magnum in a revolver like the S&W Model 66 Combat Magnum.

Similar to the RM66, the RP63 has a crisp single-action trigger, a hammer-mounted firing pin for increased reliability, and a rubber wrap-around grip that helps reduce perceived recoil.

It has been 61 years since the Bodyguard was introduced. The fact that it is still in production is a credit to a design that has proven timeless.

In 2020 we expect to see a lot of great products hit the market but few guns will put more smiles on faces than the return of the Colt Python.

Colt’s Manufacturing is following up on their recently redesigned and relaunched King Cobra with the new Carry model.

Kimber rejuvenated the revolver market with their introduction of the K6s just a few years back and is not slowing down with new and cool variants.

I will admit my biases up-front. I love these guns and always have. I think I always will. Depending on the day, I choose a J-frame over a slim nine, over a Glock 19 and over lots of other guns. I don’t always, but most of the time I do.
