A professional soldier needs professional tools. This rifle mount system also holds a spotting scope, and matches to a modular carbon fiber tripod by the same company. The whole system goes for a professional pricetag of $1,895. Right now the system is on pre-order, and that appears to be a 15% discount. My first thought was just because you can do something does not mean you should.
Then I looked at it a little more critically, just because the tripod mount on the Mark IV is opposite side of the eye piece doesn’t mean an aftermarket company has to mount it wrong way up. Flip the Mark IV over and the guy behind the trigger has a better chance of getting his eyes behind it, but also his potential white forehead is not above the system.
