Pistol Caliber Carbines have earned a place in your gun safe. Fun, inexpensive and easy to shoot, they even have their own competitions. The Mean Arms EndoMag magazine insert converts your Gen 2 or Gen 3 5.56/.223 PMAG® housing into a 9mm magazine and conversion block mating a standard AR lower to your 9mm upper. This idea is simple, effective and brilliant.
Millions of gun owners bought an AR lower or two during one of the many pre-gun ban panics. If you have an AR lower and a Magpul magazine sitting around, $29.99 and a 9mm upper will turn it into a 9mm training gun that uses mags the same size as 5.56 mags. These mags can be converted back to 5.56 in seconds.
Do you live in a state where your freedom is regulated? No worries. The Endomag has a tab (built in to the back of the insert) which limits capacity to 10 rounds. It is marked at 15, 20 and 30, you can cut the tab to fit your circumstances. They are sold limited to ten rounds. You can always increase the capacity up to a maximum of 30 with a pair of EMT shears or cutters.
All of your AR controls work just the way they are supposed to including last round bolt hold open. Inside an AR magazine, they fit in your existing magazine pouches. No more dedicated lowers or conversion blocks, EndoMags work with Glock or Colt variant 9mm Bolt Carrier Groups. They even have a version that works with the CMMG Guard uppers.
I used the EndoMag with five different 9mm uppers and lowers. They ran well in every configuration. The only compatibility issue is side cocking uppers. They do not work with EndoMag.
I have used EndoMag on registered full auto lowers. They work flawlessly, I mean zero malfunctions over 400 rounds. This is a great way to make a 9mm machinegun from your registered AR lower. Change the upper and the buffer and you are ready to go. Shooting pistol steel with a 9mm machinegun is an incredible experience. It will change your life and it is cheaper than .223.

I am a big fan of marking magazines to track performance and organize different calibers. The internal changes with Endomag make identification even harder so Gunskins is a perfect solution.
GunSkins AR-15 Mag Skins are pre-cut templates designed to fit around 30-round 5.56 x 45 NATO (.223 Remington) AR magazines. The kit includes pieces for the left and right side of a single magazine.
To cover, protect, and identify your magazines with GunSkins, all you need to do is: clean the surface, peel and stick, add heat to conform, and then trim away any excess material. GunSkins offers camouflage and specialty patterns to choose from.
Just like the Endomag, they are removable with no residue. The waterproof non-reflective matte finish of high-performance vinyl conforms to any shape magazine. They are perfect for the P-mags used here.
This ATFE approved brace has personal position presets (P3 Technology) to allow shooters to select adjustment holes to place the brace in the same desired position each time. Exceptionally lightweight with ambidextrous functionality, the RipBrace is the new state of the art.

Please elaborate, why don’t the side cocking uppers work with the endo mag. Doesn’t seem like there would be an issue…
I also have a 9 millimeter Luger upper assembly for my AR-15. It’s great for training but I use 9 millimeter Colt Metalform AR-15 magazines with a 9 milimeter Colt magazine well converter. My set up works okay. The bolt does not hold open on the last round with my set up. 9 millimeter is a way better round for self defense over .22 Long Rifle.
My primary round for the AR-15 is .300 AAC Blackout. I only shoot supersonic rounds. I like having a .30 caliber rifle that is very effective to about 300 yards with the right shooter.
I bought one of these and so far it appears to work well–just a bit pricey for a spring, follower and floor plate .
