Specialty Archery Supply (SAS) has expanded its product line with the Iron I, a new sight verifier designed to help shooters regain clear sight of their front posts.
The concept was originally developed for archers but SAS has adapted it to meet the needs of gun owners too. This offers a solution for those who struggle with sight clarity.
The Iron I is designed to fit directly into existing peep sights from brands like Williams, Skinner, and Lyman. Installation is as simple as removing the old aperture and screwing in the Iron I.

Combinations between the six aperture sizes and six lens magnifications make for 36 options. Think of it as reading glasses for your iron sights.
Pricing for the Iron I is as follows:
- The Deluxe Kit (which includes six apertures and a full set of lenses) is $300.
- The housing, which screws into the sight $38.
- Individual verifiers are available for $45 each.
- Individual apertures are $13 each.
There are two ways to figure out what verifier is right for you. You can either go to a SAS dealer and use their tool to find the right one or you can buy the deluxe kit and test each lens yourself.

It would save you a couple hundred dollars if you buy only the one you need so talking to the dealer is the recommended route.
Thankfully SAS has a dealer locator on their website and there seem to be quite a few locations. There are five just around where I live.
Overall this seems to be an interesting product and I bet it will catch on in the firearm market like it has for archery.
Be sure to check out the Specialty Archery Supply website for more information on the Iron I or to find a dealer near you.

Ever hear of Bob Jones? I had a lens (from his Company) in my Service Rifle aperture over 20 years ago. Made the post sharp as my eyes were getting old. Well, I guess I was getting older too.
