One of the key witnesses in the case against George Zimmerman is speaking out about the neighborhood watch volunteer who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida, in February of 2012.

Rachel Jeantel, who was on the phone with Martin just before he and Zimmerman engaged in a physical altercation, told CNN that the 30-year-old needs to take responsibility for his actions on that fateful night.

“He know he did wrong,” said Jeantel, a recent high-school graduate. “He got to man up to it. To me, you’re not a man. George Zimmerman not a man. That’s still a little boy with a grown body.”

Sunday marked the one year anniversary of the acquittal of Zimmerman, who was facing second-degree and manslaughter chargers for his role in the shooting death of Martin. Zimmerman’s attorneys argued that he acted in self-defense.
