President Trump briefly addressed the school shooting at a Texas high school Friday that left at least 8 people dead.
“My administration is determined to do everything in our power to protect our students, secure our schools and do everything we can to keep weapons out of the hands of those who pose a threat to themselves and to others,” Trump said from the White House. “Everyone must work together at every level of government to keep our children safe.”
Trump offered condolences to the victims and their families.
“We grieve for the terrible loss of life and send our support to everyone affected by this absolutely horrific attack,” he said of the tragedy the occurred at Santa Fe High School in Sante Fe Texas.
“To the students, families, teachers and personnel at Santa Fe High, we are with you at this tragic hour and we will be with you forever,” he added.
