A licensed concealed carrier fatally shot an armed, would-be robber Wednesday night in South Philadelphia, local media reports.
The victim, 24, was having a cigarette on his stoop when the suspect rode up on a bicycle.
The suspect pulled a gun and then demanded money and belongings from the victim.
As the 30-year-old perp, who has yet to be identified, was getting off the bike to rest it on a nearby vehicle, the concealed carrier pulled his own handgun and fired.

“It looked like a robbery victim, at this time, turned the tables on a would-be robber and shot him in the head,” Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said, per NBC Philadelphia.
Before he expired, the suspect was able to fire one or two shots, investigators said.
Thankfully, neither the victim nor any bystanders were injured.
While the investigation is ongoing, it doesn’t appear as if the young man who defended himself will face any charges.
So far this year, GunsAmerica has covered at least four stories involving law-abiding Philadelphians using firearms to fight back against criminals.

Yet despite these very real stories of lawful self-defense, many anti-gunners still flat-out deny the existence of defensive gun use by responsible citizens.
So the perp was shot in the head, so nothing of importance was hit. Love happy endings.lol
