I love historic guns and the reproductions of them. One of my favorite is Italian gun maker Davide Pedersoli. I stopped by their booth in the Little Italy section of the SHOT Show floor to check out what was new. You can see their complete catalog here. Or most of it. They’ve brought some guns to the show that you won’t see anywhere else.

One of the highlights was the Sharp’s Small Game rifle. These are slightly shrunken down Sharps Rifles that are designed for youth shooters. They weigh in around 7.5 lbs and are 41 inches long. These are chambered in .22 LR and .22 Hornet. The gentleman working the booth showed us the unique extractor that was designed for the rimfire cartridges. Take a look at the pictures for a description on how it works.
Speaking of pictures, the rest of what we found at the Pedersoli booth is below. They make some great looking reproductions of classic American arms. These guns are really incredible. With many reproductions, you don’t want to get too close. Not these. The closer you get, the more you see.

I own the Quigley 45-70 by Pedersoli and it is a beauty to hold and behold. I have the Creedmore sight system which increases accuracy. Recoil is not bad with less than 450 gr bullets. A pleasure to own and shoot. It takes you back in time !
want a good sharps get a Shiloh Sharps. Ive been around many of them all and actually own a C Sharps, The best is Shiloh. The rest are just wannabees
Old world Art in Craftsmanship. Pendersoli, Always well done!
I’ve had a Pedersoli rolling block in .357 on order since May. I can’t wait for it to come in.
Sam,
A few things. I really like that Sharps Light rifle. The link above sends you to David Pedersoli site that is in italian. This site below is their english version. I was trying to figure out how to much it weighed. I would have liked to see a picture of entire rifle! When will the chamber it in a 30-30?

I have an over and under built by David Petersoli and inported by Dakin back in 1961. It has been my favorite bird gun and looks and shoots as well today as the day I received it – over 50 years ago. It is well engraved and has chrome lined barrels and one of the most beautifully figured walnut stocks I have ever seen.
Had one of their Quigley Sharp rifles in 45-70, traded it to a gent who appreciated it more. They do make a fine gun, but ouch! The recoil. Still, might have to buy another, just to hang over the mantle. Damn good looking guns.
I love these ol’ guns. I own several muzzleloaders and a Sharps 45-70 (Pedersoli’s and other reproductions) that I shoot regularly. You are very fortunate to be able to see all of them in person, hold them and talk directly with their makers. I think a perfect vacation for me would be 2 weeks in Italy where I would see the sights, meet the people, eat the food, drink the wine, and then spend the next 13 days at the Pedersoli museum.
