Stag Model 9T--Game Changing 9mm Carbine

Stag Model 9T–Game Changing 9mm Carbine

Some 9mm ARs feel a bit half baked, like the gun can’t decide if it wants to be a carbine or an AR pistol. Others cobble together parts to make the mags fit. Not this one. Stag’s new 9T is a full on rifle. There’s nothing about this gun that’s a compromise, and it may change the way you think about the pistol caliber concept.

Expansion was picture perfect, even after bullets passed through four layers of fabric.

Ammo Test: Winchester Train and Defend .40 S&W

Winchester’s Train and Defend line is a concept long overdue. Use range ammo to train, but carry the good stuff. And both are the same grain weight. The idea is that you save money, but the ammo performs exactly the same. How well does it work?

Five Reasons Why Your Carry Gun Should Be A Revolver

Five Reasons Why Your Carry Gun Should Be A Revolver

No doubt that pistols are great and will get the job done, but there is an argument to be made that revolvers are still a solid choice for concealed carry. Here are five points to consider.

A True Masterpiece? The Masterpiece Arms 30DMG

A True Masterpiece? The Masterpiece Arms 30DMG

I grew up with the MAC 10, but the gun was rarely portrayed in a favorable light. It was the emblem of the war-on-drugs. Now, though, the old open bolt automatic seems like an antique. Or it did until Masterpiece Arms updated their defender line. This take on the old classic is completely updated, and my new favorite large-framed 9mm.

Right Now Range Review--The Fun Is The Box

Right Now Range Review–The Fun Is The Box

The bottom of the range box has standard bulls eye targets in a couple of different sizes. But the coolest part is the shelf on top that you can set things on and hang things off of. I was curious how well this part would hold up but it did great. The design is well thought out and the card board is thick and sturdy. We used the shelves to hang empty cans off of and to set plastic bottles and apples on. The tops of the shelves also have a slot in them that can hold clays.

LWRC Tricon MK6--The Refined Fighting Carbine

LWRC Tricon MK6–The Refined Fighting Carbine

I sometimes have a hard time finding meaningful differences between black rifles. This isn’t one of them. The LWRC Tricon MK6 is very different. Designed in coordination with former SEAL and renowned trainer Jeff Gonzales, the rifle is built for service. And right now,if you buy an LWRC, they’ll throw in an Aimpoint T1. This is a great deal.

There’s a lot to talk about–from gun design to caliber considerations–but these guns will get the job done without breaking the bank.
