O’Rourke Blame Texas Governor For Tragedy: ‘These kids died because… you chose to do nothing’

in Current Events, S.H. Blannelberry, This Week

Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke blamed current Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and other state leaders for the tragic school shooting on Tuesday in Uvalde that left 19 children and two adults dead.

O’Rourke directly confronted Gov. Abbott on Wednesday during a press conference from the small Texas town 80 miles west of San Antonio.

“This is on you,” O’Rourke shouted at the stage, where Abbott was seated. “You said this was not predictable? This is totally predictable when you choose not to do anything.”

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who was also on the stage, fired back at Beto, “Sit down … you’re out of line in an embarrassing encounter,” later adding, “I can’t believe you’re a sick son of a b**** to come to a place like this to make a political issue.”

O’Rourke was escorted out but he was not done pushing his agenda.

While outside, he told reporters, “these kids died because the governor of the state of Texas, the most powerful man in the state, chose to do nothing.”

“After every one of these, he holds a press conference just like this – and I wish to hell when he came to El Paso that someone would have stood up and held him to account and confronted him and shocked the conscience of this state into doing something,” O’Rourke said.

“Because if we do nothing, we will continue to see this. Year after year, school after school, kid after kid. This is on all of us, every single one of us to do something,” he continued.

On Twitter, O’Rourke told Gov. Abbott that he should cancel his appearance at this weekend’s NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Houston, and urge the organization to hold it “anywhere but Texas.”

While it’s unclear if Abbott will still speak at NRAAM, what is clear is that the NRA is all systems go for this weekend.

In a post on Twitter, the organization announced that it would gather in Houston, and “reflect on these events, pray for the victims, recognize our patriotic members, and pledge to redouble our commitment to making our schools secure.

Newsweek speculated that O’Rourke’s antics this week could cost him the gubernatorial race this November, as Texas is a state with more than one million gun owners.

Put another way, approximately 45 percent of Texas residents say live in a home with guns, according to RAND.org.

I find it amusing they said texas has 1 million gun owners, its easily 10 times that amount. Beto has balls though. Kind of shocked a parent didn’t beat him down.

O’Rourke is nothing but an empty bag of political wind. Like any other Libtard Demosmack, he thinks everything is curable by a law or restriction of a GOD GIVEN right. Sad to say but its people of his ilk who have created this. We have no sanctity of life any longer, and when we can’t respect life we don’t respect anything. It took an unbelievably sick person to manipulate the rifle. Pray for all those who were involved in this tragedy, I am.

And you care so much about humanity, except of course the Christian members of mankind, that you sit in righteous judgement of all. It does not seem to dawn on you that many of those victims are Christians and owned firearms. Even if it did enter your thick skull, it would not matter are a misanthrope pretending to be a voice of passion.

Update your bag of lame tricks and stop using George Carlin as a crutch to make a worthless point. If he were alive now the left would have denounced him for being too insensitive. Your lack of originality is boring.

Actually not, jackass. Let’s go back to any basic grade school American history class and revisit a couple of the “bricks in the foundation” of our entire system and way of life –
      (1.) Constitution
      (2.) Bill of Rights
      * pay particular attention to #2

Libtards want to act like they care about the lives of children, yet they support abortion from conception to birth. This “abortion good, guns bad” position of the left is as hypocritical, immoral, illogical and non-sensical as they come.

So, by some sources, one “mass shooting” a day, we are over 300 million here, thats one in a million odds on any given day. But at least, “good man with a gun” is up 50% in a year. And still people flee their homelands to rush the gates of our smeltingpot, as safer than their paradisical warlordlandia

Beetoff O’douche is another ass clown standing on the not yet cold bodies of children to make political points. Fuck him and the vile democrats.

If the figure that ~45% of Texans live in homes with guns is right, where was the good guy with a gun in the 12 minutes before this b@$t@#d made entrance into the school?

Surely someone in the neighborhood had a hunting rifle accurate and deadly enough to take down a deer or larger animal at their disposal? 12 minutes should have been enough time?

Oh, let me get this straight, an unarmed father/firefighter rushed the building, broke a window, and started evacuation of children when the POLICE, in their ballistic vests and with access to ARs and Shotguns, held the crowd back and let the carnage continue inside?

Maybe we should start requiring School Resource Officers to be armed with M14s, so they can have more firepower than the pathetic 5.56 that seem to be all the rage now? Maybe RPGs? Obviously the Cops don’t have faith in their issued arms, or have a severe lack of intestinal fortitude to do their job?

How ‘bout that incident in Colorado a while back when the active shooter was taken out by a construction worker wielding a large rock? That boy had STONES!!

  • BJG May 27, 2022, 8:46 am

Can’t we send O’Dork, Booker, Abrams, McConnell and the like to the Donbas region? Maybe there, they’ll finally learn what constitutes an “assault weapon”.
