Impression
Though I question the naming convention on this one (the “turbo”?), Yankee Hill Machine seems to have hit a home run. YHM has always made great suppressors, I have been really surprised by how quiet they actually are.
The Turbo continues to work with legacy flash hiders, which is a really nice feature. Considering most quick disconnect flash hiders cost $100, that can add up fast if you use one suppressor on multiple guns.
The Turbo is full auto rated, hearing safe on barrels 14.5 inches and above, and very light weight. My favorite part? The price.

Price and Availability
This gun muffler retails for $489 and that includes a QD flash hider. If you are in the suppressor market at the moment, this thing is a steal.

Cant wait until these are deregulated , so you can just go buy one . Minus the $200 stamp .
Getting suppressors off the NFA list is a must! Getting the prices of these things to a more realistic level will be just as important. $489 For the can and adaptor is simply too much. There’s, maybe, $150 worth of materials, machining costs, coating and other miscellaneous expenses incurred. I’m all in favor of the free market but let’s keep it within reason. Semper Fi.
You obviously haven’t shopped for suppressors. At less than $500 for the suppressor and mount the Turbo is half the price of about 40% of 5.56 cans on the market. Also if HPA is passed the cost of suppressors will skyrocket over night because more people will be willing buy them and supply won’t be able to catch up and meet demand for the first year.
Econ 101 bro.
I can’t wait for suppressors to be deregulated, and I hope that the process comes with some federal pre-emption to over ride oppressive state laws (like in my home state: People’s Republic of Illinois).
I would like a factory made can, but they are so dirt simple that I will probably make a few myself when/if legal.
Cans are great and lots of good ones on the market but there aren’t any good deals out there .prices are crazy . Some will disagree you can bet on that but will be a hundred to one will agree with me .
Hopefully, in addition to reduced restrictions, the increased volume will have an inverse (and true free market) effect on the price.
Excellent! I’m all set for when cans are deregulated.
Perhaps YH is anticipating that???
Having 3 suppressors already, that is a GREAT PRICE for what appears to be (on paper) a GREAT CAN. The weight and length are impressive for the degree of sound suppression. These mufflers get better every year. Now, we just got to get the BATFE out of the purchase process so more people can have them, plus open up a market for used ones.
Agreed, this is a lot of can for that price. As soon as they change the law I’ll buy one.
