March For Our Lives Holds Protest in Wake of MSU Shooting

in 2nd Amendment – R2KBA, Current Events, Police State, This Week

One week after the tragic shooting at Michigan State University, David Hogg and his “March For Our Lives” activists held a protest at the Michigan State Capital.

Hogg spoke at the protest calling for gun law reform, saying there isn’t enough being done by politicians to prevent shootings like what happened at MSU.

According to The Lansing State Journal, Hogg stated, “[shootings] happen every single day, multiple times a day in our country and it does not get the attention that it deserves.”

The protests are in response to the MSU shooting that took place last Monday night. The 43-year-old perpetrator opened fire in two buildings on the MSU campus, killing three students and wounding another five.

The gunman was found deceased about five miles from campus with two 9mm pistols. According to Michigan State Police, both firearms were purchased legally.

Of the five injured students, one is in fair condition, one is in serious condition, and the other three are still considered in critical condition.

March For Our Lives

March For Our Lives was co-founded by David Hogg in 2018 following the attack at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Hogg was a student at the time. Since 2018, March For Our Lives has hosted numerous protests calling for stricter firearm regulation.

The group, however, talks purely about gun violence and restricting access to and ownership of firearms. They fail to address how to protect the rights of law-abiding firearm owners or to account for the lives that are saved due to the lawful possession of firearms.

New Legislation for Michigan

Also in the aftermath of the MSU shooting, state Democrats have vowed to introduce new legislation, including expanded background checks, red-flag laws, and “safe storage” requirements.

Michigan Senate Majority Leader, Winnie Brinks (D), stated, “Then we’ll go from there,” hinting lawmakers will push for even steeper regulations in the coming future

In previous years Michigan has avoided such laws due to GOP control. However, the Democratic Party secured a majority in both chambers in the 2022 midterm elections. Now, fewer roadblocks stand between law-abiding citizens and increased restrictions.

If they really, truly wanted safer college campuses – a safer society, in general – then they would be pushing for all people of adult age (18+) who are not otherwise barred from possessing a weapon due to criminal record or mental health issues to be allowed to arm themselves any place they have a right to be in the first place. Gun-free zones are simply target-rich environments for criminals and crazies, and unarmed people are just potential victims.

A serious look at psychotropic drugs will yield far better results than disarming law abiding citizens and allowing criminals to walk free as if they were paying attention to the law concerning guns. Fact, the majority if not over 95% of these “shooters” have or are on psychotropic drugs as some of us in LE starting seeing the effects of these drugs for well over 20 years.

Big Pharma will continue to require the Mass Media to hid and distort the facts on this, but those that have seen first hand know the truth about altering the conscience…

They always call for more laws and never to enforce and uphold the punishment for all of the thousands of ones we already have. The shooter had felony charge with a firearm against him but the weak DA went with a lesser charge. The law was in place. The police did their job and arrested him. The court system was weak and basically let him go. That is what the rage and protests should be about!
Also, gun free zones make absolutely no sense! No law or sign will stop a bad person from doing bad. If laws stopped everyone, they would not have to attach a penalty if you break the law. This shows they know that laws only stop the law abiding and in the case of gun free zones, only disarms and leaves good people defenseless.

All of our political morons, that are boot licking dogs , need need to be impeached from office, We the people need to vote any political figure out of office, that is anti gun ownership by the American people, as we all know our votes don’t matter, the boot licking dog in office, decided who will be our next morons in state and federal offices . The reason the boot licking dogs in office what to ban firearms in because, as we all know that if you pull a dog teeth he can not defend himself . And the government, has more control over the people, to make us communist puppets, as the American people don’t have many right left, what ever happened to the right to privacy, the freedom of religion, now what next .
