Kel-tec Sub 2000 9mm

I don’t think the kel tec sub 2000 is rated for +P or +P+ ammo. Please check with mfgr. They told me not rated for those rounds.

The Keltec is a great little gun. The only real problem with mine is when it is dirty. Clean it and it keeps going. Mine usually starts malfunctioning at about 200 rounds. Gets real bad at about 400 rounds. With submachine gun rounds it is really powerful with the 16 inch barrel. Nociceable more than with the MP-5. So I would say with Underwood +P+ 125grain Penetrators it would be an awsome man stopper. I have thought about taking one hanging on a single point out to a deer stand and see how it stops deer. If one came by at less than 50 yards! I do not ususally recommend the average person to do this but since I can hit beer cans pretty much every time out to further than that I think it would be interesting. At about 50 feet I tried it with one of those rounds on a four inch oak limb coming out of the side of a tree (a live one) and it blew it clean off. That Underwood ammo shoots through 17 to 18 inches of gelatin out of a 6 inch barrel. With unbelievable hydrolics. I can only imagine how much more it would do from a 16 inch barrel Keltec. I should try it on an old but not yet shot vest. I hear regular ballistic vests do not even slow that round down so a deer might be fun to see how it works with the Keltec. If I was a hog farmer I might be tempted to strap a vest on a 180 to 200 pound hog and give it a try. Then have a pig roast with some friends. Since I am often asked to shoot some camp meat for the boys when we get together for deer hunting that might work just as good.:-) Nothing tastes as good as a quarter from a small deer on a bed of mesquite coals in a big Weber Grill for about five or six hours. Now if I can just get one to stand still while I strap that vest on. 🙂
