Camp Chef Versatop Portable Grill – SHOT Show 2019
Updated: August 3, 2024 BY Levi Sim The new Versatop Grill is just 17×18 inches and uses the Coleman one-pound fuel canisters so you’ll have plenty of room left in your rig for your other camping gear.
When space in your truck is limited, Camp Chef’s new Versatop Grill might be just the right size. It’s just 17×18 inches and it’s designed to run off the small one-pound Coleman fuel canisters so you don’t have to lug your large propane tank around, either.
Versatop is ready for one-pound fuel canisters (you know, the green ones).
The Versatop’s oval burner puts out between 5,000 and 18,000 BTU’s/hr so you can cook pancakes on a lower heat or char steaks at a higher heat. It comes with a 14-inch griddle and it’s compatible with all Camp Chef’s 14-inch accessories. The griddle is pre-seasoned and non-stick and ready to cook breakfast before you head out hunting for the day.
The oval-shaped burner heats the griddle, grill, and oven evenly at 5,000 to 18,000 BTUs. It comes with a built-in Piezo igniter.
Other accessories for the Versatop include the BBQ Grill Box and the Artisan Outdoor Oven. You can grill as you would at home and the oven lets you bake all kinds of things. This system can turn your outdoor kitchen in a gourmet food factory. And it won’t take as much room as your larger system at home.
It works with other 14-inch Camp Chef accessories like the Artisan Outdoor Oven (pictured) and the BBQ Grill Box.
The inset grease catch makes sure you don’t end up with a mess in the truck.
The body is made of powder-coated stamped steel and stainless steel, it has a Piezo igniter, and leveling legs. Camp Chef’s Versatop Grill is available now and MSRP is $164.99.
Leveling feet keep your pancakes from running no matter how old the picnic table is at your campsite.
Powder coated steel, stainless steel, and sturdy hardware fit in with Camp Chef’s other quality products.
