A message from Iraqveteran8888:

Sorry that we are a little late to the party on this one guys, but the topic is still alive and active. The executive order put in place by President Obama bans the importation of all firearms exported to the USA under Concern Kalashnikov, a large Russian firearms conglomerate. Not only are Saiga rifles and shotguns banned from import, but many other firearms that some do not know much about. Stay tuned to the video for all the details.

GunsAmerica covered the Obama sanctions as well, click here for some supplemental information.

I get the whole “having a choice as an American” part of this. But to be honest, this is good for US gun manufacturing.
I recently was shopping for a Beretta or Taurus but got 3 Rugers instead because the imported guns totally suck compared to what you can get from a US maker. And I dont really like plastic, striker fired guns. But since no one here makes a high cap .380 I did have to get a Bersa. ( Im thinking of you Kimber…)
