In a recent breakdown on YouTube, Ben from GOA’s “Minuteman Moment” detailed all of Kamala Harris’ anti-gun efforts over the years.
For starters, and as Ben points out, Harris kicked off her campaign this month with a big push for gun control. She wants gun confiscation laws, universal registration, and a ban on commonly owned firearms.
“We’ll finally pass red flag laws, universal background checks, and an assault weapons ban,” Harris declared.
Her strong stance on gun control has a lot of people worried. Many think she might be even tougher than Joe Biden on this.

Harris has always pushed for strict gun laws. Back in 2004, when she was the District Attorney for San Francisco, she went after people carrying concealed firearms and charged folks under California’s “assault weapon” ban. Basically, targeting law-abiding gun owners.
As California’s Attorney General, Harris kept going after gun rights. She bragged about confiscating 10,000 guns from individuals and wanted to close the “bullet button” loophole, making it harder to own modern sporting rifles.
She even opposed the Supreme Court’s decision in D.C. v. Heller, which said the Second Amendment is an individual right.
In the Senate, Harris backed 21 anti-gun bills. She wanted to ban 3D-printed guns, use domestic violence funding against gun owners, and keep pushing for a black rifle ban. She also supported universal background checks and more restrictions on gun dealers.

As Vice President, Harris ran the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
While she hasn’t done much there, she’s still pushed controversial policies like the ATF’s pistol brace rules and the expanded gun registry.

Harris’s campaign got endorsements from every big anti-gun group out there: Everytown, March for Our Lives, Moms Demand Action, Giffords, Newtown, Brady, and Students Demand Action.
There’s no doubt a Harris presidency would be bad news for the 2A.

it saddens me that there are so many uninformed people in this nation today, all I hear is the evil AR 15 or “assault weapon”, what a load of bull. The weapon does not jump out of a gun safe or crawl out from where its located to attack people, the person does, plain and simple. When all the dust settles each time there is a terrible & uncalled for shooting, there is always a number of red flags that were seen & known about the shooter, many times the tragedies could have been prevented, but that would mean someone would have have had to use common sense, like not allowing that person to purchase a gun for mental reasons (but that is not allowed to be talked about by the liberal thinkers until its too late), or a parent seeing that maybe their child was not a person who should own or have access to a firearm. There are laws in place that could prevent the wrong people getting guns if thy are allowed to be used properly in cases of mental issues. I also am tired of hearing about high capacity magazines, how no one needs that many shots, its just not necessary at all they say, OK then lets go further, there is no reason to have a vehicle that can go 120 miles per hour, all those sport cars should be turned in, after all the legal speed limit is clearly posted all over the nation, why should you have a car that can exceed that, turn in those fancy cars and get a 4 cylinder no one needs to go faster than the legal speed limit right?? same principle applies, and the stats show lots more people die daily in car crashes where speed is at fault than in gun deaths, fair is fair, no need for high capacity magazines, no need for speedy cars. One huge difference is that my ability to legally own a weapon & is protected under the US constitution and is a RIGHT I have. This nation would be allot better off if people took the time to use common sense and a little logic in their daily lives instead of reading something on the internet and swallowing it hook line and sinker before thinking about it and researching it a little. Lets try to be actual parents to our children, try teaching them basic values and responsibility & respect for our nation, lets try to be neighbors & friends to each other, this nation used to stand for something, and it is slowly disappearing, and its taking our patriotism & civility with it, its being replaced with idiotic views & actions, no more woke, no more hate, no more liberal agendas, lets try to be Americans & patriots once again before its totally gone, I proudly served my Nation & its people in the US Army, I did not serve my Government but my Country that I dearly love.

Like I tell the brain dead ones on Facebook who happily post drivel sent to them. The rifle IS NOT the weapon of choice in mass shootings. The handgun is, followed by the shotgun, then the rifle. The only fact in your statement is what we have been saying all along. These are caused by mental health issues, not firearms. Most would have been prevented with intervention by mental health professionals. Look at the facts: most were loners, picked on, bullied by other students. Some had very high IQs.
I do agree that when a parent is not home and minor children are present, having the firearms locked up is better. having said that, let’s look at one particular case. Sandy Hook. Do you know how many felonies the shooter committed before he arrived at the school? Did you know that the firearms were kept in a gun safe? Did you know he killed his mother and stole the firearms from the gun safe? Did you know he used handguns and the AR?
OH yeah, the AR is not a weapon of war. It only fires one round per trigger pull, a semi-automatic rifle, not a “weapon of mass destruction” or can it be one of those non-existent “assault weapons”.

Steven Paddock at Los Vegas used assault rifles with 100 round drums converted to full auto via bump stocks. 415 people were gunned down in seconds and from an astonishing 400 plus yards away. Pistols and shotguns would not have been as effective nor as deadly at 400 plus yards,
At the Orlando gay night club 50 people were gunned down in seconds and on the news program 60 minutes they showed in graphic detail the horrendous more amount of tissue damage done by a high velocity center fire rifle as opposed to the same test using a 9mm pistol. In short it was as different as night and day in the
amount of destruction of tissue.
And most school shootings involve assault rifles not pistols, not shotguns, The Uvalde school massacre was done with an assault rifle. I could name dozens and dozens more all done with assault rifles not pistols.

It is the Republicans that have continued to refuse to fund Socialist programs that would pay for mental health care and build new mental asylums, of which were shut down by Ronald Reagan to save tax money with the horrific consequences we are still living with today.
It is the Republicans that have refused to pass Universal Background Checks which could include mental tests to weed out mentally ill people before they get the chance to buy deadly weapons. Enhanced Universal Background Checks could also mimic the NFA vetting which would include “in depth” background checks which often take up to a year. The current background checks for new guns is done in haste and in a few minunutes and often criminals and mental patients are not flagged.

You still bring up semi-auto rifles as the preference for mass shooters, and backed it up with a couple of examples. Didn’t you think to use a Google search? Didn’t you think to check statistics by the D.O.J ? how about the FBI? Nope, you just kept on with your diatribe about those non-existent “assault weapons”.
