GOA: Gun Control in Boulder Fails to Stop Evil Killer
Do you agree with GOA? Should anti-gunners apologize for their role in disarming citizens and creating soft targets? (Photo: NBC News)

Gun Owners of America, Springfield, VA – On Monday, an unchecked Mass Public Murderer claimed the lives of at least ten Americans, including one police officer, at a King Soopers, a store whose corporate policy restricts the rights of law-abiding citizens to bear arms in Boulder, Colorado.

Unsurprisingly, anti-gun politicians and lobbyists such as Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America politicized the tragedy — calling for more gun control laws, saying:

Our leaders owe Americans #MoreThanThoughtsAndPrayers. Send your senators a message and tell them to take action NOW.

They also promoted Senate Democrats’ calls for gun control:

As we prepare for tomorrow’s hearing on gun violence prevention, gun violence is once again ravaging our nation—from the two mass shootings in the past week, to the daily toll of homicides, suicides, and accidental deaths.

Thoughts & prayers aren’t enough. It’s time for action.

Aidan Johnston, Director of Federal Affairs for Gun Owners of America, answered these reactions by stating, “Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and Everytown for Gun Safety fail to recognize or apologize for their role in facilitating the present Mass Public Shooting.

“Both gun control groups spent years harassing Kroger Co. Family of Stores like King Soopers into banning the open carry of firearms. The corporation finally capitulated in 2019, ‘[a]fter five years of pressure from Everytown and Moms Demand Action.’”

By demanding law-abiding gun owners shop elsewhere, Moms Demand Action and Everytown practically turned King Soopers into a soft target ripe for exploitation by criminals like this mass murderer.

“Moms Demand Action and Everytown — not Second Amendment Advocates — should apologize for their role in advocating for gun control and disarming the victims of this tragedy,” Johnston continued. “Everytown and Moms Demand Action don’t want our thoughts and prayers, but they also refuse to empower Americans with the very tools used to end this tragic Mass Public Shooting: guns.”

Armed citizen engagement is a proven and effective tool [see page 5]. Gun owners like Stephen Willeford and Jack Wilson have used firearms successfully to save lives during active shooter incidents.

Johnston concluded:

“Americans should have their right to carry firearms for self-defense restored by Congress with legislation like the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2021 and by state legislatures with Constitutional Carry.

“State level Universal Background Checks, similar to H.R. 8 as recently passed by the House of Representatives, did not prevent this Mass Public Murderer from obtaining his firearm.

“And an unconstitutional, so-called ‘Assault Weapons’ Ban would not prevent this criminal from possessing an AR-15.

“None of Colorado’s existing gun control prevented this Mass Public Shooting and no amount of gun control ever will.”

Hey blue dog, if you knew how good you people are at selling guns you would probably sit in your garage with your electric car running trying to gas yourself. If Biden could keep a sentence together he would be 2nd in line for salesman of the year. You bitch faggots have no idea of the amount of guns that “you” sell to people that would otherwise not feel the need to own.
What would it cost me to have you on a TV commercial to advertise for me? I am being serious too.

I am flattered, HKT, but I have a face for radio and a voice for print.

There’s an estimate 392 million guns in the US. Also There’s an estimate 12 trillion rounds of ammunition in private hands. IF GOD FEARING, CONSTITUTION LOVING, FLAG WAVING AMERICA’S ARE THE PROBLEM YOU WOULD KNOW IT. Passing new laws will make no difference. Criminals will be Criminals, they aren’t obeying the we have now. What makes you think they will obey the new one’s??

The Sunni Islamic Syrian targeted ten white Americans in an upper middle class retail district. His now-deleted Zuckerburg page showed that he hated Trump and those who supported im.

BAN FOREIGNERS! PUT AS MUCH EFFORT IN CHECKING THEIR BACKGROUND AS YOU DO TO THE PEOPLE THAT PAY YOUR SALARY! YOU “BANNING” AND COMMON SENSE GUN BULLSHIT ONLY HURTS THE GOOD PEOPLE. BUT YOU KNOW THAT…

I have carried concealed in Kroger stores (City Market/King Soopers) for over two decades and will continue to do so in the future. I carry in church, in the field while hunting and fishing and frankly everywhere it’s not statutorily prohibited. A sign on the door advising concealed carry is not allowed only means a misdemeanor ticket if I’m caught. Aim straight; shoot fast.

I believe that in Illinois only the first violation is a misdemeanor and the second is a felony. Whatever the case, you are making a choice based on a complicated question of risk assessment. In Cook County Illinois, there are many restrictions that carrying is a strange dilemma. If someone suspects you are carrying and the PD is called then the canine unit will swoop in and trouble can quickly follow.

Did the store cover the loss of life and burial because of the signage? Just as gunmakers are being sued, they should have been held accountable.

What a great idea, ban guns in your store. This is what gun bans get you.

  • graceythecat March 26, 2021, 6:34 am

Call him what he is, a middle eastern terrorist!

  • Phil March 26, 2021, 6:18 am

What is ‘gun violence.”? I see people violence. That firearm of the Boulder killer didn’t go to that store by itself. It was carried there by a sick individual. Red Flag laws? Authorities knew he had issues. He should have been Bakered. It ISN’T the gun.

Lets see here, a few weeks ago the US bombed Syria, and then a Syrian immigrant kills ten people in a super market. Did he know his actions would cause others to loose their rights and create racial hate, I would guess maybe he did.

Blue Dog, seriously, quite wasting our time. You have nothing of value to add.

  • Blue Dog (he/him) March 23, 2021, 6:09 pm

It is probably worth pointing out that Colorado has universal background checks and a so-called standard-cap mag limit and does not transfer to an open status. Colorado already meets the requirements of the two bills before the Senate now. And still this disturbed individual legally bought a weapon of war and in less than a week made some headlines. The problem is not inaction but incomplete action. No half measures; we need an assault weapons ban.

    • AK81 March 24, 2021, 9:44 am

So Blewdog, Are you suggesting we ban precrime? or just mentally disturbed people? because I-70,I-25 and I 225 have plenty under it and I’d love not to see the defecating ,shooting up or doing acts of indecency by the road,
Or are you saying we should have a nationwide ban because it would prevent guns being brought in?
because those firearms not allowed signs worked great at every public school that has had a shooting.
Maybe we can ban it in countries where they do import true ghost guns to the us in shipping containers. Bans on illegal narcotics have really been effective with imports from mexico, china and the phillipines (see before where I mentioned shooting up), So i’m sure it will be a great success.
And one last thing for woke people, this whole less Asian hate thing applies to most middle eastern countries too. The shooter was middle eastern and in some shape or form was probably made by racist people in society (white, black, east asians and Hispanic are all guity of it).

      • Blue Dog (he/him) March 25, 2021, 12:07 pm

To your last point – many of the folks right now talking about Asian hate use the progressive definition of racism, wherein racism is less an individual sin and more something that happens between communities/racial groups. Within that framework, they define racism (between communities) as prejudice plus power, so these groups that are not in power cannot, by their definition, be racist, no matter how much prejudice is involved. I am skeptical of critical race theory and consider myself more of a classical liberal but it is good, probably even better for someone so opposed to that point of view such as yourself, to understand how they use terms differently.

I agree with you that we should prosecute illegal arms importation too. I agree with you that we should reduce the availability of ghost guns and weapons of war on American streets. Let’s work together for gun violence solutions, AK81!

        • AK81 March 25, 2021, 3:01 pm

I do know what they mean and in the case of non far east Asians they are right. All the other groups do work in concert to disenfranchise .04 percent of the population.

        • Kane March 26, 2021, 11:00 am

“I am skeptical of critical race theory . . .”

How gracious. Racism MIGHT be more of an individual characteristic and less of a social construct, but leave the door opened just a little. By the way, what certification can you provide that indicates you are NOT a racist?

I seem to recall you saying that you were a former gun dealer, any clarification would be welcome. Would love to know the gun law proposals you can list that you admit defy “common sense.” I would love to see the plan. Especially the part where you follow up the ban on “weapons of war” (oh yeah we are all going to agree on that definition) with the first choice of the law abiding and the criminals element, the “handgun.”

          • David Christianson March 27, 2021, 9:19 am

A better course of action would be to ban liberals like yourself from American soil. Making honest, law abiding, citizens of this country into criminals is the highest form of terrorism there is! No matter how hard you try to ban any type of firearm, they will ALWAYS exist in this country, that ship has sailed. The literal definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results, i.e. gun laws. So in effect, leftism= insanity.

          • Blue Dog (he/him) March 27, 2021, 10:05 am

Maybe I am the kind of racist that thinks everyone should be treated the same? If you already are a racist by the edict of some intersectionalist, they are not real interested in offering absolution. One cannot earn his salvation; only keep working and never attain it.

The obvious places to start are universal background checks, closing the Charleston loophole, an MSR ban, and restrictions on standard-cap magazines. We may have to register firearms on a national level, too. These are all common sense gun violence solutions that poll after poll show are supported by large majorities of the American people, even when using the stilted language of the gun lobby, insisting on using terms like MSR and standard-cap magazines.

So tell me, Kane, is it time for Florida man?
