Standard Manufacturing Company never fails to impress. This past year at SHOT Show, they released the Volleyfire, a six barrel, twin-shot carry gun. Something to check out, if you haven’t already.
They also showcased a golden version of their DP-12. Paul got a chance to look it up close when he visited their booth.
Anyways, I thought it was pretty neat and deserving of some more love. It’s not every day that one comes across a double-barrel pump gun that’s received the Midas treatment.

We reviewed the DP-12 when it was first released. Initially thought to be just another novelty gun, this bad boy proved to be much more, legitimizing itself as a real-deal home defense firearm. Reliable, dependable and with an impressive capacity of 16 rounds in a bullpup-style design, the DP-12 is truly a next-level scatter gun.
The only downside to the DP-12, if there is one, is the brief time it takes to overcome the muscle memory associated with using a traditional pump gun. When operating the DP-12, you shoot twice, then pump to cycle the action, shoot twice, then pump as opposed to shoot once, pump, shoot once, pump as you would with a regular shotgun.
The retail price for this golden, limited edition DP-12 is $1,800. Check out the Standard Manufacturing website to learn more.
You can also pick up a regular black DP-12 on GunsAmerica for around $1,200-$1,300.
That is tacky as fuck.
Are both barrels smoth bore or do they come with chockes??
Why?
Been watching way too much starwars!
