Diamondback Firearms

It was interesting this year to find Diamondback downstairs at SHOT Show. For some time they were partnered with Mossberg, and I actually thought they were bought by them. But they were not, and now Diamondback is their own thing again. This year they have some .308 ARs that look promising, and street price should be under $1,000.
I also took the opportunity to talk to them about problems I had with the original DB9, and I liked their answer. So we hope to get in one the new guns to try, along with these new ARs.
The DB380 is a pretty consistent product if you are looking for a tiny and inexpensive concealed carry gun in .380. I’ve never had a problem with mine and the accuracy isn’t dreadful. Apparently the new guns are going to be cut with a Glock sized dovetail and front sight, so all of the aftermarket sights for the Glock will now fit the Diamondback. Your local dealer should be able to get all of these guns either now or soon, and they should also show up on GunsAmerica.

I don’t watch videos so didn’t find much out on the AR. But sounds good. Might finally get me to buy one. Will wait for some reviews.
Can someone explain what is meant at the first part of the video where he states they were going to chamber for 7.62, but went with .308 chamber-ring instead. Is there perhaps something going on regarding chamber pressure and one should not shoot 7.62 ammunition in this gun?
To your question: .308 Winchester is loaded to higher pressure than 7.62x51mm NATO. Therefore, DB went to the higher standard.
I have a DB 5.56mm 10.5in. pistol. I have found that in spite of it’s modest price, it has become quite expensive. I shoot it so much (without a hiccup) that it’s making me ammo poor! If the upscaled version in .308Win. is as good as my pistol, I won’t hesitate to get one of these!
Thank you Paul for the Diamondback AR .308 interview. For us guys who can get to the Shot Show it’s to see these videos. I’m also very happy to know there’s a .308 AR out there for under a grand. Thank you Diamondback!
Well folks, that’s about where a .308 AR platform SHOULD be priced.
The Manufacturers have taken advantage of the buying frenzy, and as I predicted those prices are coming down as the market wanes and the host of builders and manufacturers realize that now the competition is gonna get tough.
Very soon, it will be a buyers market.
I just wish the ammo sales would get there too!
BTW, I built mine for that price, so I see that price as fairly reasonable.
I’m really getting sick and tired of the sub-par reviews and baiting this organization is printing. The review was supposedly for an AR in 308 under $1000.00 and not for a blurb on a 380. Might just have to delete GA after this and a couple of other rude reviews this last couple of weeks .Very unprofessional at best.
Did you watch the video?
Also, these aren’t reviews. It’s impossible to “review” a product at a tradeshow. These are quick overviews/impression pieces.
“Diamondback .308 ARs Under a Grand!” I must have blinked and missed the part about the .308 ARs? Oh I see the title is the article.
Or was the article dupose to be, “Diamondback .380 DB Under a Grand!?”
Did you watch the video?
Yes, but I prefer an article which I can read and go back to, not videos. A video is okay for a quick demo, but does not hold up to actual printed material.
We’ll hopefully get one in for a full review in the near future. So, stay tuned. 🙂
Good price! Cant wait to see the review.
