A Texas gun store was burglarized Wednesday and the crooks got away with dozens of guns, including many AR-15s and AK-47s.
Around 3:42 a.m., the suspect or suspects used a stolen vehicle to knock over Mister Guns in Plano. The suspect or suspects made off with around 30 semi-automatic pistols, 40 revolvers, one S&W AR-15, one LAR-47 rifle, one TAVOR rifle, and eight AK-47s. Surprisingly, the lawbreakers didn’t pause to submit to a background check.
Since the crime involved a federal firearms licensee, the ATF were quick to get involved and “hit the ground running,” according to agency spokesperson Russ Morrison.
“You’ve got over 7,400 federal firearms licenses in the state of Texas, and you know how many burglaries occurred involving those last year? 36. So it is a rare occurrence. Does it happen? Sure. But it’s against federal law to burglarize a federal firearms licensee, which means the ATF gets involved, and it’s our job to find out who’s responsible, bring them to justice and recover these guns.”
The ATF is still inventorying the shop to determine exactly what’s missing, so bad guys may potentially be in possession of even more firearms than first estimates.

What?! No background check???!!!! The Nerve! Crucifixion is now authorized. I bet they wouldn’t have observed the waiting period either if there was one in TX. I can’t believe these criminals didn’t obey these laws…..wait, what?!?!?! Must be time to create more pointless laws for criminals to obey…..wait, what?!?!?!?!
