A few weeks ago I wrote an article titled, “Help the NRA Create the Ultimate Clinton Attack Ad,” and solicited your ideas to help the nation’s gun lobby create an effective ad that would really speak to voters on the fence about which candidate to get behind come November.
Well, I’m not sure if the NRA even saw that article or used our suggestions, but they did produce a new ad, one that I believe is more effective than the last one (see new ad above). Is the ad a new idea or a novel approach to show how Clinton is an existential threat to our 2A rights? No. I feel as though I’ve seen the same type of ad before, I just can place exactly where. But despite its unoriginality, I think it’ll be effective.
The ad, a 30-second TV spot known as “Nightstand,” shows a woman sleeping alone in her bedroom when she hears glass shatter, the ominous sound of an intruder breaking into her home. The voiceover says that the average police response time is 11 minutes. But that’s too late. She has a firearm by her bedside, but if Hillary’s elected she can via Supreme Court appointees take away that woman’s right to self-defense.
The voiceover ends with, “Don’t let Hillary leave you protected with nothing but a phone.”
Simple. To the point. Effective. As I wrote earlier this week, Hillary does want to destroy the Second Amendment. The ad underscores that message. She’s openly criticized the landmark 2008 Heller decision, which affirmed one’s individual right to keep and bear arms and struck down the D.C. ban on handguns. She’s indicated that an Australian-style mandatory buyback should be something the U.S. should consider. She’s supported repealing a law protecting gun manufacturers from frivolous lawsuits, which if repealed, could potentially bankrupt the entire firearms industry. In a nutshell, Clinton’s given support to almost every anti-gun policy measure and ploy out there. She is a gun-grabber through and through.
Spending $5 million on this particular ad buy, the NRA’s fourth and largest ad buy of the 2016 presidential cycle, the spot will appear on national cable as well as regional broadcast in the battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.
“The stakes in this election could not be higher. The American people cannot afford to elect a president who doesn’t support their Second Amendment freedoms,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman, NRA-PVF. “Hillary Clinton is an elitist, out-of-touch hypocrite who believes in one set of rules for her, and a different set of rules for the rest of us. This ad underscores that fact. Law-abiding Americans should not have a president who would leave them defenseless.”
“If ever there were a time to do everything possible to protect the Second Amendment, this is it. If elected, Hillary Clinton would work to eliminate our constitutional freedoms, ” Cox added.

By far, the most powerful, disgraceful and untruthful support for liar and corrupt Hillary is the News Media, and THAT IS A FACT !!!! I am convinced that the media does all they can do to help the most controversial and least qualified candidate get elected. Why would the media do this? During the term of the disreputable and usually deranged politician, actions are taken and things are said that make “good” news broadcasts for the media and it is their responsibility to their employers to obtain news that will be “more interesting” to their viewers than other news organizations could obtain. The bottom line is that the news media, in general, is not concerned about the consequences of the election for the good of the public, instead, the news media is concerned about the consequences of the election for the good of the the news media. The news media can gain more viewers and keep the news media employed if the news is out of the ordinary. The news about the actions of deranged Hillary would definitely be “out of the ordinary”.

Lately a strange thought has occurred to me: what if ISIS, radical Islam, assorted jihadis, etc. all have a hidden motive with the attacks in the US? NOT just to terrorize us.
We are known worldwide as a Nation of armed citizens, notwithstanding the current urban trend to fear and abhor weapons. With every shooting incident, particularly any seemingly random mass shooting, the clamor grows from the left to strip us of our 2nd Amendment Rights. More people in the middle, neither particularly right nor left, start agreeing we should just become a gun-free society.
I’m thinking the Islamists see that and may be deliberately manipulating that with their attacks. And our left, always short on understanding of human nature, plays right into their hands.

In Canada a few years back, the Liberal government decided in response to “one” horrible shooting incident, to make it mandatory to register all guns, including long guns. This produced a bureaucratic jungle of waste of taxpayers time, loss of rights for millions of honest law-abiding Canadians, harassment for millions of collectors and sport hunting enthusiasts and competition shooters. Police were given the blanket right to enter the home of anyone at any time on the ” suspicion ” of some sort of firearm’s violation, such as unsafe storage or possessing guns (perhaps inherited) that were not registered. The urban sector in Canada….the uninformed “citiots” supported this legislation, because they get to read and wear the violence statistics in those pent-up hell-hole drug-ridden crime-ridden wretched unnatural disaster zones. Sportsmen, country folk, farmers, trappers, collectors, heritage country living folk….all fought back. We elected a different government who made the promise to scrap the virtually offensive destructive wasteful legislation, and to restore our rights. The wife and I were having a talk about all of this. I wondering how many people are in all the branches of the US military? I would almost bet not as many as even in the 60’s. Even if there is, they are all over the world. What is to stop another country from invading the US? Who is going to try and stop them if we don’t have our weapons? The US military is all over and they will be on the outside looking in. They won’t be here to help. Maybe Clinton should think about that. If someone invades the US the first place they are going to go is Washington DC. That is, unless she is on their side. Which in that case she is going to let them in with open arms. The NRA doesn’t need to spend 5 million Dollar for making and spreading such a video. All they have to do is to spread some live footage of what is going on in Europe every single day, especially videos from what happened in the cities of Cologne and Hamburg in Germany on the night of 31st December 2015/1st January 2016. They could make a statement like: “The people in Europe have nothing to defend themselves and this is the result. Hillary Clinton wants you to become one of these victims right here in America as well, by taking your guns away.”
A much cheaper message with shocking live footage of what happens if the people don’t have guns, while the police is overwhelmed by the situation as well. Then no one can say “This is just bad NRA propaganda”.
The NRA can show some recent videos of Australians defending themselves with sticks/brooms against a bad Muslim armed with a large knife who had just attacked and bloodied a man out for a walk. Good idea Manuel but there is plenty of live footage from right here in the USA. Chicago, California, Washington, New York/Jersey, etc. One would have to dig to find this “live footage” as the media will not air such things, it’s against their agenda. My first thought was also of using live footage to get the message across instead of an actor potraying what may or may not happen. I just saw a compelation of live police dashcam video of police officers being gunned down by criminals in response to BLM. The compelation of short videos shows the dangers of what our LEO’s face evry time they pull over ANY vehicle and was posted by a black male calling for BLM to “protest” not only police/black shootings but black on black crime in his hood.
I couldn’t help but think to myself while watching these officers being gunned down that possible if all law abiding citizens could legally carry and be in a position to “back up” or help these officers, maybe the crime rate would decline. Bottom line a short compelation of true stories of law abiding citizens defending themselves before police arrived would get the message across.
The opposition will always criticize the NRA so I do not worry about what might be said by them. I do not know whether $5 million is an appropriate amount but I suspect the NRA knows what they are doing on behalf of us members.
Hello Kane, sure I would never doubt that the NRA knows what they are doing and I think the money is well spent, especially now, just around 1.5 months before the votes. And yes, you are absolutely right, there will be always people that will criticize the NRA, no doubt about that. But maybe some of the voices could shut down, if they would use live footage of people getting assaulted and cannot defend themselves in so many countries worldwide, instead by making a movie all by themselves but this is of course just my opinion.

Hello Ben, yes you are absolutely right. I just fear that, although there is always hope, most of these anti-gun people, especially the ones that are like that even since before 9/11, are, as I would call them, lost souls that cannot be turned around anymore, no matter what kind of message you try to give them.
