As of late, there are so many options for red dot sights on the market. Some see this as a bad thing, but I really enjoy the huge selection that is available when shopping for an electronic sight. Crimson Trace adds to these options with their new line of electronic optics and I had the privilege to test out the CTS-1000.

Ruger has decided to enter the light-weight, long-range hunting rifle game with their appropriately named Hawkeye Long-Range Hunter Bolt Action Rifle. This gun is designed to be accurate, lightweight, user adjustable and tough. The light profile, stainless steel barrel contributes most to this rifle’s low weight and comes chambered in the most popular 6.5 calibers.

The DDM4V11 PRO is a competition ready, high quality ar-15. This rifle is loaded to the gills with high end parts and features that will result in faster split times and higher scores.

As technology advances, hunters have to keep up in order to maintain any kind of edge that they may have over their competitors when it comes to shooting the biggest bull elk or mule deer buck. Large guns have a special place in my heart, as they do for most people. The Taurus Raging Hunter in 44 mag is a handgun that put a huge smile on my face the moment I held it in my hand. The Raging Hunter is well constructed. There is extremely little play in any of the moving parts, the cylinder locks positively in place with a dual latch system and the porting on the end of the barrel is not only attractive but reduces recoil effectively; making for a great shooting experience.

The KelTec CP33 was one of the most hyped product of SHOT Show 2019 and I couldn’t help but fall into the excitement. However, I was a bit skeptical about its reliability with the radical quad stack magazine design. That said, I want to kill any doubts that you may have because I found this pistol to be extremely reliable, run any ammunition and it was easy to load. This gun quickly became a favorite of mine to bring to the range, take out varmint shooting and just carry around in the pickup for impromptu target practice.

After looking the rifle over, I was very impressed with what I saw and felt. The rifle was hefty… and I mean really hefty. The bull barrel that this gun comes with adds a lot to it, but the advantage is that you can shoot all day and not see a change in accuracy. The stock felt good to me out of the box, but with the option to change the cheek riser and length of pull (LOP from here on out) I rearranged the stock so that it fit me perfectly.

The Springfield SAINT Victor 308 is built for a purpose in mind and that is to be a lightweight run and gun type rifle that offers more firepower than the typical AR-15. At it’s MSRP of $1,399 makes it a more affordable offering of this platform that is out there, especially with the features that it has.
