The dad, John Duhigg, is a former violent crime detective, we learn from Daily Mail. He says the incident was caught on his security cameras and the footage went viral when he posted it on TikTok.

Reports are still in a very preliminary stage but it appears the homeowner from Dekalb County wasn’t about to let his car get stolen.

The assaulter, who was later identified as Kevin Craig Anderson, “aggressively approached several customers” of the smokehouse. Anderson then made his way to the men’s restroom, where he proceeded to assault an elderly man. 

Surveillance footage was released three days ago, showing us exactly what happened. The incident started when the robber walked in. Police say he pulled a mask over his face while saying “You know why I’m here.”

The man then drove up in his golf cart next to the homeowner, starting an argument. This argument culminated in a strange sequence of events. The man “barrels the golf cart into the [homeowner’s] gate,” said Miller.
