Out of the box, the P210 feels like it was made for your hand. It’s pretty impressive. There’s no telling what this pistol is capable of.

Tikka T1X – Rimfire Revolution
Updated: May 11, 2019This week, I got my hands on a rifle for review that was a long time in the making. The Tikka T1X, first announced at SHOT Show 2018, has finally hit the shelves. Now despite my own giddiness about rimfires, I know that they aren’t the most popular reviews we publish. But hear me out on this one, I think you are really going to dig it. Why, pray tell, have I been anxiously awaiting a bolt action in 17 HMR?
Reviewed: Bushnell Prime Spotting Scope
Updated: August 3, 2024Bushnell has been all over the map in recent years, in terms of levels of products. They have spent a lot of time solidifying their place at the table on high-end products, like the XRS and HDMR, both contenders in military circles. Then they will turn around and introduce sub $200 scopes, such as the Engage series. It can get a bit, well, confusing. So I am very happy with what seems to be a recent change to the product lines.
Thureon Defense’s 10mm Carbine is NOT An AR15!
Updated: April 18, 2019It has been an excellent year for us 10mm Cultists, our cartridge of choice has grown by leaps and bounds. New guns, a gaggle of new factory loads, and an upswing in popularity have made 10mm more available than ever. With so many options, I felt compelled to write a post on alchemy write a review of available factory ammo and how it performed in the real world. A test like that requires, obviously, a gaggle of available pistol barrel lengths. But in my opinion, it should also be done from a carbine, as the 10mm gains so much from a rifle length barrel. So I went looking for one. And to the lasting shame of the firearms manufacturing world, I found very slim options.
Leupold VX Freedom 3-9×40 – Review
Updated: April 12, 2019When it comes to getting quality for a low price, you can’t beat the Leupold VX Freedom. When it comes to versatility—it delivers.
Delta S 9mm- Heir Apparent to the MP-5SD throne
Updated: April 6, 2019Arguably the least development we have seen on new firearms is in the submachine gun arena. Once the coolest kid on the block, sub guns were a staple of counter-terrorism forces, the world over. Despite many attempts to usurp it, the MP-5 was far and away the weapon of choice.
Mossberg 590A1 Retrograde – A Birthday Present from Mossberg to Us
Updated: March 31, 2019The Retrograde to me says awesome hair, flight suit, and a really bad attitude cause Ronnie Reagan told us to. Holding it in your hands, you can almost hear the rotors spinning on a Huey and “boarding party to the flight deck” coming over the 1MC. That alone is worth the price.
AAC Halcyon and 556 – New Products From An Industry Leader
Updated: March 23, 2019At a time when “silencers” were mostly the playthings of nerds and collectors, AAC brought attitude. From the skulls in the logo to the idea you should not only use your can, but use the hell out of it, they were a breath of fresh air. Two and a half decades in, they still feel young at heart. So it is with great pleasure this week I get to write about new options.
New Hornady 224 Valkyrie loadings – Black and Varmint Express
Updated: March 15, 2019One of the great stories of 2018 was the introduction of a new caliber by Federal, the 224 Valkyrie. Initially announced in October of 2017, by SHOT Show 2018, the world was abuzz. The 224 Valkyrie promised to turbocharge the small frame AR rifle, with ballistics that blew the doors off past challengers such as 6.5 Grendal and 22 Nosler. It helped that it was released and backed by Federal, a giant in the ammunition industry. But still, many people questioned the new caliber? Would it deliver? And would it catch on enough to remain available?
G9 Bullets: Something Wicked This Way Comes
Updated: March 9, 2019Still prepared to not be impressed, off to the range we went. We set up the first 18 inch thick target, I loaded up a 9mm, and then the sky cracked open. Ladies and gentlemen, I have never seen anything like the G9 performance out of a handgun. If you watch the film, you will see me at a rare loss for words. The terminal ballistics can only be described as devastating.
