At SHOT Show 2016, we talked with firearms and self-defense instructor Rob Pincus about the development of his new handgun, the PD-10, and how he wins the hearts and minds of non-gun owners.

The booth for Unique ARs grabbed my attention from across the room. It’s not tactical. It’s not coyote tan. It’s not endorsed by counter-terrorism experts from across the realm. But it is totally freaking cool. It is a Trump-marked AR handguard. Yes, you can Trump your AR with Unique ARs’ help. It has “TRUMP” and “Make America Great Again” emblazoned along its length.

Franklin Armory’s new trigger is making headlines. The 3rd position fires one shot on the pull and one on the release. But that’s not all, the gun maker has a compact .308 that maybe the perfect the CQB rifle.

Barrett is one of America’s truly great weapons designers, and the new 240 LWS from the company took the cake for change this year. The 240 family of weapons has been in service with the US military since the late 70s, and it was due for an overhaul. Barrett delivered one of those in spades with its new 240LWS.

Blaser’s R8 rifle already has a devoted following. The straight pull modular system works great. But their new stock options are turning heads. Check out what we found at the SHOT Show.

New for Shot Show 2016, Aguila Ammunition is set to introduce its full lineup of shotgun shells to the U.S. market.

This gun was a collaborative effort between Mark Serbu and YouTube sensation Royal Nonesuch and it has a retail price too low to believe.

Tristar had some new shotguns at SHOT Show this year. If you are not familiar with Tristar they are making some very nicely build price-point shotguns. They may not have the fanciest fit and finish or every bell and whistle, but they flat out run. There were two stand outs in the new guns Tristar had at SHOT this year. One is a tactical AR styled shotgun and the other is a single barrel trap gun.

The guns that Cabot brings to the SHOT Show are always something to see. Always. We got a sneak peak at the meteorite that’s causing so much buzz, but there are guns for the rest of us, too (at least the rest of us with some spending money). The commander length guns are a design marvel.

Liberty has expanded their Fatboy line, and have more small safe storage options. If you are looking for either portable security options, or mammoth safes, Liberty has options. Check out the SHOT Show coverage.

Spyderco’s Reverse is a very versatile self-defense blade that allows one to switch the orientation of the blade’s edge from edge-out to edge-in or vice versa.

At 2016 SHOT Show, Heckler & Koch showcased their tried and true P30SK and VP40, two very solid polymer-framed pistols, chambered in 9mm and .40 cal respectively. The P30SK is a subcompact, perfect for concealed carry, and the VP40 is a wicked duty pistol.

VooDoo Innovations, part of the Adams Arms’ family, has announced the release of their first Glock drop-in barrel available for the G17 and G19 models in both Gen 3 and Gen 4 handguns. And that’s just the start of the GLOCK fest from Adams Arms. The company known for their rifles is really branching out.

Benelli has a new shotgun that will appeal to fans of the 28 gauge. This Ethos is chambered for 3″ shells. More punch from a lighter gun. And Franchi has an update of their Instinct line. The Catalyst is designed for women, but it may be the ideal 12 gauge for many smaller framed shooters. Check out our SHOT Show coverage.

Tactical Walls, the groundbreaking company that launched viable concealment furniture, has integrated RFID locks into their products. Check out their new firearms concealment devices.

Polymer 80, a company known for their polymer 80% AR-15 lowers, introduced a new product at SHOT Show this year that shook up the concept of an 80% receiver. Named the “Specter,” this 80% frame embraces the ghost gun idea and brings it into the handgun (Glock) market.

At Shot Show 2016, Century introduced two new variants of their popular milled AK rifle, the C39v2 and the RAS47. Both variants are factory short-barreled rifles (SBRs). Century is also launching a suppressor line under the Red Army Standard Brand.

Looking for an affordable out-of-the-box package that is ready for the range or the hunt? Howa’s got a fast new Mini-Action line. This one is in 6.5 Grendel. We’ve run it out t0 300 yards with good results.

Hill and Mac had a very interesting gun at SHOT Show this year. They have taken the WWII German StG 44 and updated it while still retaining the original looks. The biggest news is that they will be available in calibers other than the hard to find original 8mm Kurz. It will come in 5.56, 7.62×39 and 300 Blackout in addition to the original 7.92×33.

Thompson Center had two new rifles to show off at SHOT Show 2016. The first is the Compass center fire rifle that offers some excellent and exciting features for a budget price with a sub MOA guarantee. The second is the new Strike muzzle loader that is striker fired.

The Model 700 Classic Triple Reed duck call from Sure-Shot from the 1960s has been out of production for a long time. Getting the 3 reeds right is not an easy trick. It is very easy to end up with an overly thick stack of reeds that are unresponsive and dull sounding. From what we heard in the booth at SHOT Show, Sure Shot Game Calls has got it right, and they’re bringing the Triple Reed back.

The 7.62 x 39 Mutant from CMMG is a kick-ass AR platform rifle. For 2016, they’re shortening the barrels and taking off the excess weight. The evolution of the gun is looking good.

Springfield Armory has just released 3 new Mod.2 pistols that expand the already versatile line. The guns are getting shorter, longer, and more tactical. We’ve had them in for testing and are here with their updates for SHOT Show 2016.
