Homeowners in Patterson County, CA were forced to defend themselves last month when an intoxicated man trespassed into their house.
Fifty-year-old Yuhui Zheng and her husband, Yang Luan, were at home on a Saturday night when a drunken man forced himself into their house. Hoping to make the intruder leave, Luan got into a grappling match with the man.
With the fight progressing, Zheng went to an upstairs bedroom to retrieve a handgun she had obtained only the day before. On the way downstairs, she saw a “significant fight” unfolding and found it necessary to shoot at the trespasser, emptying the revolver of all its rounds.

Police, who had been called by a neighbor, arrived around 10:20 pm to find the intruder, 22-year-old Angelo Santana, dead close to the door.
After an investigation that included reviewing surveillance footage, police indicated that the homeowners will not be charged.
Preliminary reports on Facebook from Patterson County Police state that this was a matter of “strictly self-defense.”
After speaking with “those familiar with Santana,” it became apparent that the young man had struggled with substance abuse, and would often go to that neighborhood when drunk to find friends.
Luan received only minor injuries from his fight with Santana, as his wife’s unfortunate but necessary actions saved the two from any further harm.

Can we say Devine providence? Just got the weapon the day before and then needed to use it. I hope they get more ammo, as the criminal’s family will be at bat next, out to get vengeance.
In California?!! Huh? Good for them. Probably won’t read about it anywhere but here. They’re lucky they live in a county with an understanding prosecutor.
They’re hugely lucky and that they’re not a mile deep in jail is surprising for the people’s republic.
