Buzzfeed took five anti-gun liberals shooting…

Recently, as kind of a social experiment, Buzzfeed took five anti-fun liberals shooting at the Los Angeles Gun Club.

What’s most telling about the video is that not one of them had fired a gun prior to developing their irrational antipathy toward firearms.

See, like most gun-control advocates, their hostility toward the Second Amendment was born out of ignorance and fear, not a working familiarity of firearms.

While the brief experience didn’t exactly change their perspective on the issue, it did soften them up a little bit, suggesting that over time if they were continually exposed to responsible gun owners, gun safety education and the joy of shooting, they may begin to value their right to keep and bear arms.

Not all would turn, as some seem ideologically dug in, but perhaps 3 out of 5 would see the light.

“It’s a rush, it’s an adrenaline rush and even though it’s f***ed up and I feel confused and conflicted about it all, I would probably come back and do it again,” said Allison.

“I felt kinda badass cocking the shotgun, that’s a badass gesture there, but this did not change my [anti] gun position,” remarked Abe.

Great idea! Life experience much of the time will replace the cognitive distortion that the mind clings to out of fear and utopic fantasy. 2017: Take a progressive to the range.” Stories of women victims and those who have defended themselves from being victims need to be told over and over and over. Woman have a better chance of being heard than men as the stereotype of men and guns is so thickly entrenched in their minds-part of the cognitive distortion. Liberty creates more safety than allowing our lives to be controlled by a passively violent oligarchy which includes Bloomberg and Soros. We have less that four years to create a truth flow that help continue to turn the tide of the Progressive oppressive One World Order. Even if we can shift the minds of 20% of the Progressive camp, that would be not only a miracle, but perhaps enough. Change comes very, very slowly. We have to be compassionate and understand their fear because they do not. This doesn’t mean that we give in to the delusions of their Marxist purpose. We can attract more bees with honey than a hammer.

This is something that should be done much more frequently. Many people’s anti gun stance is born of ignorance and lack of exposure and complete information. I have take several people out for their first time and afterwards it seemed they contemplated the issue in a different light. Not only their view of gun owners who might have been different than the stereotype (I do not fit any gun owner stereotype). They also found an appreciation for guns that made them realized they are complicated and fun at the same time and should be respected. Like the article says, it might not flip the switch in their mind from anti to pro however an expanded perspective is something everyone could use. Sure guns are not for everyone, but that doesn’t mean everyone shouldn’t have guns. Each should be allowed to make these choices on their own in the full light of facts. We as the gun owning/enjoying community are a global minority and are only well represented in this country, thus we should do all we can to help our fellow Americans understand this issue. We should not sling mud and call people idiots and use their ignorance as a verbal weapon against them. When is the last time you changed your mind about some thing after being told you were stupid about the topic?
